Abstract:
Hypervideo data is encoded with two distinct portions, a first portion which contains the video data and a second portion, typically much smaller than the first, which contains hyperlink information associated with the video data. Preferably, the first and second portions are stored in separate and distinct files. The encoding of the hyperlink information is preferably made efficient by encoding only key frames of the video, and by encoding hot link regions of simple geometries. A hypervideo player determines the hot link regions in frames between key frames by interpolating the hot link regions in key frames which sandwich those frames.

Abstract:
A nasal device (-) for obesity prevention and treatment and its method of use are disclosed. The device comprises a check valve () and a cylindrical or conical airtight tube () with an opening at each end. The valve is so fastened or connected to the tube at one end as to form a one-way air channel/passage. The tube conforms to or fits the interiors of different nostrils air-tightly in a variety of ways (). A pair of such devices can be connected with a flexible strip () or a band (). Inserting the device into the nostril, a wearer can inhale through the nose but has to exhale through the mouth. This reduces the wearer's appetite for food and slows down eating. The wearer can easily remove the device after eating or whenever desired.

Abstract:
A personal portable devices keeper () and its method of use are disclosed. The keeper mainly comprises a housing formed by a shell () and a base (), a spool assembly () controlled by a spiral spring () and a ratchet mechanism consisting of a ratchet plate () in the spool, a ratchet bead (), and a straight slot () in the base, a clip (), and a length of cord () with a bob () securing a strap loop (). The shell has a cord port () and is rotatable independently from the spool so that the cord remainder is adjustable even after the cord is fully retracted by the spring. The strap loop ties a personal portable device directly through its strap holder or the like. The keeper is fully operable through the cord dragged by the portable device that is normally held and operated by one hand.

Abstract:
A method for indicating the location of time dependent video hot links to a user, comprising the steps of: displaying a motion video presentation on a first portion of a display device, the video presentation including a hot link region which can be selected by a user to link to different content; displaying an indication of the presence of the hot link region in the video presentation. The method may comprise the further step of altering a visual attribute of at least a portion of the hot link region when a user manipulable cursor is within the first portion. The method may comprise the further step of displaying an indication of the presence of the hot link region in the video presentation on a second portion of the display screen.

Abstract:
The present disclosure describes ultrasound systems configured to enhance flow imaging and analysis by adaptively adjusting one or more imaging parameters in response to acquired flow measurements. Example systems can include an ultrasound transducer and one or more processors. Using the system components, mean flow velocity magnitude and acceleration can be determined within a target region during an acquisition phase, which may include a cardiac cycle. One or more adjusted flow imaging parameters, such as adjusted ensemble length, temporal smoothing filter length and/or step size, can be determined based on the acquired flow measurements to increase the signal quality of newly acquired ultrasound echo signals. The adjusted flow imaging parameters can then be applied by the ultrasound transducer during a second acquisition phase.

A system for visualization and quantification of ultrasound imaging data may include a display unit, and a processor communicatively coupled to the display unit and to an ultrasound imaging apparatus for generating an image from ultrasound data representative of a bodily structure and fluid flowing within the bodily structure. The processor may be configured to generate vector field data corresponding to the fluid flow, wherein the vector field data comprises axial and lateral velocity components of the fluid, extract spatiotemporal information from the vector field data at one or more user-selected points within the image, and cause the display unit to concurrently display the spatiotemporal information at the one or more user-selected points with the image including a graphical representation of the vector field data overlaid on the image, wherein the spatiotemporal information includes at least one of a magnitude and an angle of the fluid flow.

A system according to the present disclosure may include a display unit, a processor communicatively coupled to the display unit and to an ultrasound imaging apparatus for generating an image from ultrasound data representative of a bodily structure and fluid flowing within the bodily structure. The processor may be configured to generate vector field data including axial and lateral (or transverse) velocity components of the fluid flowing within the bodily structure, calculate velocity profiles for a plurality of locations along a wall of the bodily structure based on the axial and lateral velocity components, generate wall shear stress (WSS) visualization data based, at least in part, on the velocity profiles, and cause the display unit to concurrently display the image including the bodily structure overlaid with the WSS visualization data.
