Abstract:

A system and method for implementing a z-range buffer during the generation and display of three-dimensional graphical images. The display screen is partitioned into a plurality of display blocks. For each display block, the z-range buffer stores minimum and maximum depth values (z-values) of a front layer of the block and a back layer of the block. The z-range buffer further stores a bitmask value where each bit in the bitmask associates a pixel in the block to either the front layer or the back layer. When a new triangle is to be displayed, the minimum and/or maximum z-values of the pixels of the triangle are compared with the minimum and/or maximum z-values of the front layer and/or the back layer. By making such z-comparisons, it is often possible to make generalizations of the z-values of the remaining pixels in the triangle without individually analyzing their z-values.

Abstract:

A system and method is provided for mipmap texturing in which texture tiles are mapped into sets of a set-associative texture cache for use in displaying a graphic primitive. When a miss occurs, a new texture tile is called from main memory to replace a texture tile which is not shared between the segment being traversed and the next segment to be traversed and which is the âleast recently usedâ. This is accomplished by maintaining a record for each cache line describing the texture tile it contains and replacing the texture tile which is the âleast likely to be reusedâ.

Abstract:

An impedance compensation circuit generates per-group pull-up impedance information and per-group pull-down impedance information to calibrate a plurality of input/output pads and dynamically updates impedance information on a per channel basis. A group refers to a group of I/O pads having similar output drive strengths in a channel. A channel refers to all I/O pads, which collectively provide a bus interface to an external device. For example, all the I/O pads interfacing with a memory module may be grouped into a channel, and address I/O pads in a channel may be arranged into a “group. ” Memory I/O pads may be grouped together into a channel since memory interface pads have input/output characteristics that may be different from those of other types of I/O pads in the chip. According to one embodiment, per-group programmable offset information provides calibration information that may be different for each group in each channel.

Abstract:

A framework of combination of spectacle frames with lenses comprises a spectacle frame provided with an upper arm and assembled with a nosepiece, in which a hole seat is formed between the upper arm and the nosepiece and a wedge hole is formed inside the hole seat; a lens provided with a neck, in which adjustment of multiple segments may be made for clamping by using a gibbous wedge of the nosepiece that is arranged in the wedge hole, and a distance between the gibbous wedge and the upper arm may be adjusted for the tight fitness of lens. The lens may be easily assembled into the spectacle frame, and the issue on adjustment of fitness without any segment due to easy assembly.
