An incandescent lamp is designed to operate at lower than the AC line voltage and includes a voltage conversion circuit for lowering the line voltage to the operating voltage of the lamp. The circuit includes an output transformer which is disposed in the screw base of the lamp, the remainder of the circuit, which is high-temperature-intolerant, being disposed outside the base and the envelope of the lamp. In a reflectorized embodiment of the lamp, the high-temperature-intolerant portion of the circuit is disposed adjacent to the mouth of the reflector envelope on the outer surface thereof and, in a non-reflectorized bulb embodiment, the high-temperature-intolerant portion is disposed between the envelope and a skirt which is connected to the base.

Abstract:
An elevator control system () provides elevator dispatch and door control based on passenger data received from a video monitoring system. The video monitoring system includes a video processor () connected to receive video input from at least one video camera (). The video processor () tracks objects located within the field of view of the video camera, and calculates passenger data parameters associated with each tracked object. The elevator controller () provides elevator dispatch (), door control (), and security functions () based in part on passenger data provided by the video processor (). The security functions may also be based in part on data from access control systems ().

Abstract:
An information distribution device performs a method for selectively distributing media associated with an incident to a plurality of responders assigned to the incident. The method includes receiving, at the information distribution device, an incident information bundle comprising media inputs associated with the incident. For each responder in the plurality of responders assigned to the incident, the information distribution device: determines a set of roles for the responder; selects a set of filtering templates designed based on the set of roles; applies the set of filtering templates to the information bundle to generate a responder information bundle that includes a subset of the media inputs that is customized to the set of roles for the responder; and delivers the responder information bundle to the responder.

A system for automatically determining video quality receives video input from one or more surveillance cameras (N), and based on the received input calculates a number of video quality metrics (). The video quality metrics are fused together (), and provided to decision logic (), which determines, based on the fused video quality metrics, the video quality provided by the one or more surveillance cameras (N). The determination is provided to a monitoring station ().

Abstract:
The present invention describes a system and method for surveillance cameras that maintain proper mapping of a mapped region of interest with an imaged region of interest based on feedback received regarding the current orientation of a surveillance camera. The system or method first determines the location of the imaged region of interest within the surveillance camera's imaged current field of view based on mechanical or imaged feedback, or a combination of both. The system or method then remaps the mapped region of interest within the surveillance camera's imaged current field of view such that the mapped region of interest is coextensive with the imaged region of interest.

Abstract:
A video content analysis (VCA) system generates an output regarding a detected condition that provides an indication of a confidence level regarding the detected condition. One example VCA system determines whether a first characteristic of a detected object in a field of vision of the video content analysis system satisfies a first criterion. If so, a first signal is generated under selected conditions. The VCA system also determines whether a second characteristic of the detected object satisfies a corresponding second criterion. If so, a second, different signal is generated if the first and second criteria are satisfied. The first and second signals indicate respective, different confidence levels that an event has occurred. A disclosed example includes a VCA as part of a security system.

Abstract:
A service request () having a predefined QoS () can be received from an end-user device () by a transit device (). The transit device () can act as an access point for the end-user device () to connect to a mobile broadband network (). A transport resource () of the transit device () can be allocated to handle a data flow of the received service request (). The network address of the allocated transport resource () can be recognized by the mobile broadband network (). The network addresses associated with data packets () of each data flow supporting the service request () can be translated by the transit device (). The translation can occur between the network address of the end-user device () and the network address of the transport resource () allocated to the data flow based upon a directionality of the data packets ().
