Abstract:

Apparatus and methods for storage and transmission of recipe data (process parameters) for the molding of articles in an injection molding apparatus. A controller includes a flow control microcontroller (MCU) that receives recipe data from a recipe storage microcontroller (MCU) mounted to a mold of an injection molding machine, the recipe storage MCU storing the recipe data defining process parameters for the molding of articles in the mold. The flow control MCU executes instructions for controlling valve pin motions according to the recipe data. In one embodiment, a human operator interface is provided for transmitting data to and/or from at least one of the recipe storage and flow control MCU's, allowing the operator to monitor, modify and/or control the process parameters during a molding cycle and/or to create a modified or new recipe for subsequent storage on the recipe storage MCU.

Abstract:

A multi-step CMP system is used to polish a wafer to form metal interconnects in a dielectric layer upon which barrier and metal layers have been formed. A first polish removes an upper portion of the metal layer using a first slurry and a first set of polishing parameters, leaving residual metal within the dielectric layer to serve as the metal interconnects. A second polish of the wafer on the same platen and polishing pad removes portions of the barrier layer using a second slurry under a second set of polishing parameters. The second polish clears the barrier layer from the upper surface of the dielectric layer, thereby forming the metal interconnect. To reduce dishing and dielectric erosion, the second slurry is selected so that the barrier layer is removed at a faster rate than the residual metal within the dielectric layer. A cleaning step may be optionally performed between the first and second polishes. Further, the first polish may include a soft landing step to further reduce dishing and dielectric erosion.

Abstract:

The present disclosure pertains to obtaining information that facilitates determining healthcare quality measures by evaluating subject healthcare data in real-time. Information is obtained that facilitates determination of compliance with healthcare quality measures. This is accomplished by running queries on a clinical database comprising subject healthcare data. Natural language processing is utilized to extract subject healthcare data at various times from the clinical database based on individual queries, thus determining any changes in subject healthcare data over time. A rule-based component is used to implement healthcare quality measures and evaluate updated subject healthcare data based upon rules.

When monitoring patients in a general ward, clinical decision support risk scores are evaluated to determine whether a patient should be monitored using a spot check method whereby a caregiver periodically checks the patient, a continuous monitoring method whereby the patient is monitored by a monitoring device such as an electrocardiograph, or whether the patient requires transfer to a progressive care unit (PCU) or intensive care unit (ICU). When the number of patient monitors is not sufficient to assign a monitor to all patients for whom a monitor is desired, CDS score thresholds are adjusted to ensure that the neediest patients are assigned monitors.

A system () and a method () for optimization of alarm settings of a clinical alarm algorithm. Clinical monitoring data (CMD) employed by the clinical alarm algorithm is acquired over a user-defined period of time. Proposed settings are determined for one or more parameters of the clinical alarm algorithm. Abstract:

A method includes generating at least first and second histograms respectively for at least first and second sets of vital sign measurements using at least first and second predetermined bins. The first and second sets of the vital sign measurements each include at least two measurements acquired at different times, and the first and second vital sign are different vital signs. The method further includes generating a first score distribution for the first vital sign by mapping each bin of the first predetermined bins to a corresponding predetermined score. The method further includes generating a second score distribution for the second vital sign by mapping each bin of the second predetermined bins to a corresponding predetermined score. The method further includes generating a compound score distribution for the first and second vital signs based on the first and second score distributions, the compound score distribution indicates a patient's health state.
