About:
Originally from North Carolina, I am extremely happy to call East Tennessee home! I have been married 32 years to my retired Special Forces husband, (so I am tough!) We have two adult sons, and our first granddaughter was born this year. I have been licensed in real estate for over 13 years and a licensed broker for 8 years. I started as both a listing agent and selling agent, but I decided several years ago to become a “ Buyer’s Agent”. Purchasing a home is a huge deal, and real estate is ever changing, so I like to not just “show” properties, but also educate my buyer’s so they can make informed decisions. I am a licensed broker, and an exclusive buyer's agent, with Cornerstone Realty Associates in the Farragut area of Knoxville. Prior to moving to Tennessee, I owned a small Exclusive Buyer's Agency in North Carolina. As an "Exclusive Buyer's Agent", there are no questions as to whom I represent. There are no "blurred lines". I represent the “Buyer”. In order to be your Exclusive Buyer’s Agent, all buyers’ must sign an Exclusive Buyer Representation Agreement (as per TN law below). This agreement protects you the buyer, as well as, me the agent. As an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent, I will not list property and I cannot represent you in purchasing my company listings so there will be no conflict of interest. I will represent you in purchasing other cooperating broker listings or for sale by owners. I choose to be an Exclusive Buyer’s Agent because the lines in real estate do get blurred. Not to say there are not agents who do an ethical job in helping both buyers and sellers, but it is sometimes difficult and I just feel more comfortable always knowing whom I represent. This gives buyer’s peace of mind, as well as, myself. Since I do have listing experience, I can inform my buyer’s on the knowledge I have from the seller’s side. If you are making your way to ROCKY TOP, I would love the opportunity to meet you and have a great REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE together. It’s a stressful time for most, but I try very hard to do the best job I can in making you happy with your home purchase.:) • In Tennessee, a REALTOR® does not become your representative or agent until you have signed a Buyer Representation Agreement with that REALTOR® – an actual contract for representation – spelling out how you will work together. • In the course of a transaction, you may sign other forms such as an agency disclosure or a confirmation of agency status. However, until you have signed a Buyer Representation Agreement, you don’t have an agent. • Once you have signed a Buyer Representation Agreement, this contract obligates me to be your loyal advocate and to promote your best interests above all others in the negotiation and closing of a successful purchase. AGENT REFERRALS **All agents can act as referring agents, and as a referring agent, I take a different approach than most. I try to get to know you, the client, and then match the real estate professional that is best suited for working with your personal needs, as well as, personality. What sets me apart from other agents is my deep conscientiousness in doing a good job for you. It's not just about handing you over to another agent, but staying connected with you throughout the process in making sure your needs are being met by the agent. When I refer a client, I stay very hands on to make sure you are not just a client, but also a "happy, happy, happy" client.**
