Method And System For Correlating Medical Treatments With Symptoms And Metrics
A method and system for correlating medical treatments with symptoms and metrics includes a process for correlating medical treatments with symptoms and metrics whereby treatment implementation data regarding what medical treatments are prescribed/recommended, and/or employed/implemented by the patient, and when and how the treatments are implemented over a given time frame, is obtained. Patient's specific treatment experience data is also collected that represents the patient's specific treatment experience with, and/or specific results from, the medical treatment over the same time frame. The patient is then provided with processed data correlating the patient's specific treatment experience data with the patient's medical treatment implementation data.

Abstract:
A method for managing insurance claim data involves identifying a first insurance claim data and a second insurance claim data using pattern recognition on multiple insurance claim data associated with an insured party, where the first insurance claim data and the second insurance claim data are associated with a single insurance claim associated with the insured party, where the second insurance claim data is later in time than the first insurance claim data, and where the second insurance claim data includes a modification of the single insurance claim relative to the first insurance claim data. The method further involves determining a financial responsibility of the insured party for the single insurance claim based on the second insurance claim data, and presenting the first insurance claim data, the second insurance claim data, and the financial responsibility in a graphical user interface (GUI).

Abstract:
A clearinghouse receives medical-related financial data, including data describing payment claims for medical services from a provider and payment polices and explanations of benefits (EOBs) from a payer. The clearinghouse aggregates the data into logical units, such as family units. A translation module translates codes in the EOBs or other data into layperson descriptions. An end-user uses a client computer to download the aggregated medical-related financial data from the clearinghouse. An analytics module at the client computer analyzes the medical-related financial data to identify items of interest to the end-user, such as billing and payment errors, and available tax deductions. The end-user can input personal medical data and the analytics module will correlate the medical data with the medical services identified by the financial data.
