Abstract:

This application discloses a hard disk drive using a self-resonant frequency band of a Voice Coil Motor far above its operational frequency band to predict Rapid Off Track events before its head stack assembly can deliver the disruption to the slider writing a track. A circuit board and/or an integrated circuit are disclosed in various embodiments to predict the ROT events using the self-resonant frequency band and/or to respond to the prediction to suppress the slider writing.

A group of eligible incentives for a product are determined and one or more of the eligible incentives are selected and applied to the loyalty transaction. Abstract:

A diode is comprised of a doped region formed with a first dopant of a first conductivity type. In addition, the diode further comprises a substrate doped with a second dopant of a second conductivity type opposite of the first conductivity type. The lightly doped substrate, instead of a well, abuts the doped region for minimizing a junction capacitance of the diode. Such a diode is especially advantageous for ESD (electro-static discharge) protection of high speed integrated circuits.

Methods and systems are provided for loading money from a gift card into a digital wallet. The transfer can be done at a point of sale (POS), such as during a purchase of the gift card. A method and system for facilitating the redemption of gift cards are described. The method includes linking a gift card issued by a merchant to a user account, receiving a payment request from the user, processing the payment request so that the merchant is paid with funds in the account, receiving a transaction identifier from the merchant, identifying the merchant, verifying that the account is linked to a gift card issued by the merchant, retrieving a value of the gift card, transmitting the transaction identifier and a request to redeem the gift card, and receiving and depositing funds corresponding to a full or partial value of the gift card.

Various gun sights and related methods are provided. In one embodiment, a gun sight includes a light source adapted to project light, a user-viewable interface, and an optical element. The optical element includes a first surface adapted to pass the light to provide a reticle at the user-viewable interface. The optical element also includes a second surface adapted to refract the light to provide a light guide at a peripheral area of the user-viewable interface to aid a user to substantially align the user's eye with the reticle. Abstract:

The present disclosure includes programmable snubber circuits and methods. In one embodiment, a circuit is configured between first and second power supply terminals. A programmable snubber circuit may be configured between the first and second power supplies to reduce ringing on the power supplies. In one embodiment, the circuit is a switching regulator and the power supply terminals are internal power supply terminals. The snubber circuit may be programmed to reduce ringing caused by switching currents through parasitic inductances in a package.
