I am originally from the Chicagoland area and moved to Florida in 2003 so I could be closer to my family. I am so grateful I live in Florida because I love the weather -- no more snow and cold!!! I also enjoy all the opportunities for recreation, whether it is a trip to the ocean, Busch Gardens, Tarpon Springs, Orlando, and the list goes on. I enjoy living in Ocala because it offers a little something for everyone -- beautiful horse country for those who like wide open spaces, the downtown square which is rather quaint, enough culture including the Ocala Civic Theater (one of the top 30 in the country) and the Appleton Museum), and a nice variety of shopping including one indoor mall and one outdoor mall. There are also some great ethnic restaurants too!!
