Abstract:

A satellite routing protocol is provided in a packet switched mesh network environment (i. e. , where user traffic is not routed through a single or central node) wherein all IP planning and routing in the global WAN network is provided through a central database management element and routing information is disseminated separately from the communication traffic via a bandwidth constricted control channel in communication with each node but typically set aside for other purposes (such as conventional DAMA control). Two specific approaches include a link state approach and a distance vector approach. The specific embodiments disclosed for the Satellite Routing Protocol (SRP) system according to the invention allows both fixed and mobile networks to connect directly to each other or to a gateway network via either a terrestrial LAN or a Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) WAN where there are links that are dynamically assignable.

Abstract:

A method for establishing routing for communications using a satellite in a Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) Wide Area Network (WAN) is disclosed. In one step, Routing Information Messages (RIMs) are received from a plurality of subscriber terminal (ST) nodes at a Network Control Station (NCS). A network map of Internet protocol (IP) network prefixes reachable via the DAMA WAN is constructed using the RIMs. A bandwidth constricted control channel is allocated using the satellite. At least one control channel message is sent over the bandwidth constricted control channel to at least one ST node coupled to the WAN.

Abstract:

A method for rapidly accomplishing a durable french manicure, employing nail polish, that includes the steps: (a) providing a flexible tab having a white or near-white upper surface that is compatible to nail polish, the tab having the shape of an over-sized fingernail forward tip portion, (b) applying and adhering the tab to the fingernail forward tip portion so that the tab has extent beyond the forward edge of the fingernail forward tip portion, (c) then trimming off said tab extent beyond the forward edge of the fingernail forward tip portion, (d) then applying translucent liquid nail polish to the fingernail upper surface and to cover said tab upper surface, and allowing the polish to dry, (e) whereby the fingernail has a glossy upper surface that is white or near-white only at its forward tip portion.

Abstract:

The strengthening of a finger or toe nail includes providing a package that includes a fabric layer to be applied to the nail, and a flexible plastic overlay sheet that includes a first portion positioned in overlying relation to a first part of the fabric layer and a second portion retained to a second part of the fabric layer, positioning the package to apply the first part of the fabric layer onto the nail and in the presence of liquid adhesive adjacent the first part of the fabric layer, and rubbing that first portion of the plastic layer against and relative to the first part of the fabric layer, thereby to smooth the first part of the fabric layer on the nail causing the adhesive to smoothly bond that first part of the fabric layer to the nail.
