Abstract:
A parallel kinematic positioning system (PKPS ) that is comprised of a stationary base plate () and an upper movable platform () to which is attached a workpiece or an instrument. Between the stationary base plate () and the upper movable platform () are positionally attached six strut assemblies (). The six strut assemblies operate a hexapod that include in combination, a counterbalance subassembly (), a servo motor subassembly (), a bearing and encoder subassembly () and an electronics circuit (). The combination accurately and repeatably positions the upper movable platform () within six degrees of freedom relative to the base plate ().

Abstract:
A system includes a hand controller that includes a rigid ergonomic chassis; a hand strap, coupled to the right side of the ergonomic chassis; a main trigger, configured such that the main trigger is operable by an index finger of the right hand; a lower lever, fixed to the front of the rigid ergonomic chassis and below the main trigger, configured such that the lower lever is actuated by contraction of any of a middle finger, a ring finger, and a pinky finger of the right hand; a joystick, configured such that the joystick is operable by a thumb of the right hand; a tracking module that enables tracking of a position and orientation of the hand controller; and a wireless communication module.
A mounting system for mounting a load on a structure, comprising a first strap having a distal end and a proximal end, a first clamp body for supporting a load, the first clamp body including a catch mechanism for engaging at least one end of the strap, the first clamp body further including a clamp mechanism for engaging a structure, wherein the strap is configured for tightening around at least a portion of the structure and engaging with the catch mechanism of the first clamp body, to maintain the clamping mechanism of the first clamp body on the structure.
