Abstract:

The invention is an apparatus and method for extending a cover for a golf cart. The invention is preferably configured for attachment to a support frame of a golf cart, wherein the support frame supports a roof for the golf cart. The apparatus includes a stationary main frame member, brackets for mounting the stationary main frame member to the golf cart, a movable frame member, and a cover. The stationary main frame member is suitable for receipt by the brackets, which are in turn mounted to the upper portion of the support frame and possibly to the roof of the golf cart. The movable frame member is operatively secured to the stationary main frame member, and configured to pivotably rotate over a portion of the rear compartment of the golf cart. The cover is configured for attachment to the movable frame member so that when the movable frame member rotates over a portion of the rear compartment of the golf cart, the cover covers a portion of the rear compartment of the golf cart.

Abstract:

The invention is an apparatus and method for attaching a cover to a golf cart by brackets and the brackets themselves. The tension supplied by the brackets may be the only mechanism by which the cover mounts to the golf cart. Brackets are preferably configured for attachment to the roof of the golf cart. The apparatus may include brackets for mounting the cover to the roof, a stationary main frame member, a movable frame member, and a cover. Brackets receive the stationary frame member. The movable frame member is operatively secured to the stationary main frame member, and configured to pivotably rotate over a portion of the rear compartment of the golf cart. The cover is configured for attachment to the movable frame member so that when the movable frame member rotates over a portion of the rear compartment of the golf cart, the cover covers a portion of the rear compartment of the golf cart.

Abstract:

A liquid container especially suited for use in the capture of liquid hazardous materials is disclosed, the container comprising a bottom, preferably circular, and a generally vertical wall, preferably annular or conical, attached to the perimeter of the bottom to form a container with a large open top. The bottom and wall are composed of a flexible, liquid impermeable material, preferably a material that is also chemical resistant and wear resistant. The container may further comprise a liner. The top edge of the wall incorporates a semi-rigid floating member which completely encircles the opening, the floating member being collapsible or foldable for storage purposes. The perimeter portion of the bottom incorporates a structural or frame member which is composed of a flexible, resilient material which provides rigidity to the perimeter and acts to spread the bottom to its maximum size. The frame member is collapsible on itself such that the device can be collapsed into a small size for storage. The frame member is self-opening from the collapsed state to the full open rigid state.
