Scarborough family to hold suicide prevention walk

• Russ and Marjorie Johnston are hosting Scarboroughs first-ever suicide prevention walk next weekend. Pictured with them is their daughters dog, Mia. The Johnstons lost their youngest child, Ashley, to suicide in June 2013.Marjorie Johnston, Ashley Johnstons mother, said her goals for the walk include eliminating the stigma of mental illness and suicide and to generate a conversation about ways to improve suicide prevention moving forward.We all have good days and bad days but being a part of the (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) has helped us very much (and) this is what Ashley would want us to do, Marjorie Johnston said. In her short life she helped so many of her friends with their problems and so we are carrying on
