Abstract:

A computer board support apparatus includes an elongated one-piece body having opposite terminal ends attached to a first side of a computer board. The bracket includes a plurality of spaced apart arms extending between the terminal ends and a plurality of locking support feet extending from the body adjacent the arms. A plurality of spaced apart brackets are mounted on a second side of the board opposite the first side. A plurality of fasteners extend through the terminal ends of the body, through the board and engage the brackets for securing the apparatus to the board. A microprocess is mounted on the board between the brackets. A heatsink is mounted on the brackets and in contact with the microprocessor for transferring heat from the microprocessor.

A computer includes a chassis and a motherboard mounted in the chassis. A baseplate is mounted adjacent the motherboard. A plurality of dividers are mounted on the baseplate and extend therefrom. The dividers are substantially equally spaced apart in a substantially parallel relationship. The baseplate includes a first substantially planar section and a second substantially planar section. The first and second planar sections extend along respective first and second planes. The first plane is spaced apart from the second plane. A ventilated ramp extends between the first and second planar sections. The ramp directs an airflow path from a first side of the first planar section to a second side of the second planar section.

Abstract:

Information handling system component cooling is enhanced with an airflow shroud that directs a primary airflow by a primary fan across the component, the airflow shroud having an opening proximate the component so that a secondary airflow is directed at the component by a secondary fan mounted on the airflow shroud at the opening. The secondary fan removably mounts to the airflow shroud to support hot swapping of a replacement fan and the airflow shroud pivots about a hinge to expose processing components, such as a central processing unit and memory. A finger guard mounted to the airflow shroud across the opening prevents accidental contact with an installed fan.

In particular, the present application describes a modular data center with a modular structural frame. In accordance with the present disclosure, a system and method for a modular fluid handling system with modes in a modular data center is presented. According to the present application, a modular data center may include a modular primary structure. The modular primary structure may include a plurality of information handling systems arranged in racks within it. In accordance with the present disclosure, a system and method for an optimizable rack solution is presented. The system and method is directed to an optimizable rack that includes a frame. The frame has both a primary portion and a detachable portion. The primary portion may contain a primary enclosure and the detachable portion may container a secondary enclosure. Each of the primary enclosure and secondary enclosure are sized to hold a plurality of computing systems. A board coupling apparatus includes a base including a board coupling side and defining a rod passageway. A rod is moveably coupled to the base and located in the rod passageway, whereby the rod is resiliently biased such that the rod extends from the board coupling side of the base.
