Abstract:

A flexible service management system creates, provisions, customizes, and restricts service offerings available on an intelligent network. A service creation environment has a schema query, service screen builder, and logic analyzer that cooperate to create a service screen definition. The service screen definition supports graphical user interfaces that interface with a telephony database. The service screen definition is deployed to a service management system within a service definition package, the service management system interfacing with a telephony database storing telephony data for supporting a service. The service screen definition enables a screen interpreter that can reside on a service management access point to communicate and transact data with the telephony database. The screen interpreter interprets the service screen definition to allow and control access to telephony data and to direct provisioning of services to network elements, such as a service control point, that perform service functions according to customized subscription data in the telephony database. The graphical user interface can communicate through the world wide web to allow customer or other data entry operator access to data on a filtered or restricted basis.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for providing Channel State Information (CSI) feedback in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base station of a cellular communications network disables inter-subframe channel interpolation and/or filtering of CSI-RS estimates across subframes at the wireless device and receives one or more CSI reports from the wireless device that are generated by the wireless device with inter-subframe channel interpolation and/or filtering of CSI-RS estimates across subframes disabled in response to the base station disabling inter-subframe channel interpolation and/or filtering of CSI-RS estimates across subframes at the wireless device. In this manner, CSI feedback is improved particularly in embodiments in which the base station transmits a beamformed CSI-RS resource(s) and reuses the same CSI-RS resource(s) for different beams over time.

Abstract:

A method in a network node is disclosed. The method comprises grouping a plurality of antenna ports corresponding to a plurality of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) into at least a first CSI-RS antenna port group and a second CSI-RS antenna port group, and determining, based at least in part on one or more criteria, a first transmission periodicity for the first CSI-RS antenna port group and a second transmission periodicity for the second CSI-RS antenna port group. The method further comprises transmitting, to one or more user equipment, the CSI-RS corresponding to the antenna ports in the first CSI-RS antenna port group according to the determined first transmission periodicity, and transmitting, to the one or more user equipment, the CSI-RS corresponding to the antenna ports in the second CSI-RS antenna port group according to the determined second transmission periodicity.

Abstract:

Embodiments of systems and methods for flexible Channel State Information (CSI) feedback in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base station configures a wireless device with a set of CSI-RS resources, dynamically configures a CSI-RS resource from the set of CSI-RS resources for measurement, and receives a CSI report from the wireless device determined from the CSI-RS resource dynamically configured for measurement. In this manner, the base station is enabled to dynamically configure and re-configure the CSI-RS resource(s) for measurement by the wireless device, which in turn provides flexible CSI feedback that is particularly well-suited for embodiments in which the base station transmits beamformed CSI-RS.
