Abstract:

Methods and apparatus are provided for electronically trapping a selected digital color image pixel. A plurality of pixels that surround the selected pixel are identified, a colorant value of each of the surrounding pixels is compared with a corresponding colorant value of the selected pixel, one of the surrounding pixels is identified to control trapping of the selected pixel, and the selected pixel is trapped based on a relationship between a colorant value of the selected pixel and a corresponding colorant value of the identified controlling pixel.

Abstract:

The apparatus of the present invention includes a frame for attaching the clamp of a hand test socket to a workpress assembly of a high-speed IC handler. The frame attaches to a workpress assembly. Utilizing the clamp of a test socket recycles frequently unused test socket parts and eliminates the need for custom fabricated workpress assembly components. The method for adapting the hand test socket for use on the workpress assembly includes the steps: providing a test socket having a base and a top cover, the top cover including a clamp; removing the top cover and the clamp; configuring the clamp for use in a workpress assembly; and attaching the clamp to the workpress assembly.

Abstract:

A frame for holding a bladed element of a test socket is used in an IC handling system. The frame includes a face, a rim formed on the face, a detent formed on the rim so that the rim and the detent are capable of holding the bladed element. The detent includes a hook having a beveled edge for holding the bladed element.

A method of adapting a hand test socket for use in a workpress assembly includes: providing a hand test socket having a base and a top cover. The top cover includes a clamp. The method includes the step: removing the top cover and the clamp and configuring the clamp for use in a workpress assembly. Embodiments of the invention relate to connectors for connecting strips of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) end-to-end and for connecting a single strip of LEDs to a power source. The connectors define a compartment to receive a strip of LEDs. Tabs extending inwardly from the sides of the connector retain the strip. Electrical contact with the strip is made by a pair of spring clip contacts that bear against electrical terminals on the strip. A hinged lid has an opening positioned so as not to obstruct the last LED on the strip, and carries a downwardly-facing block that bears against the spring clip ends to keep them in contact with the terminals of the strip. In a strip-to-power connector, the connector defines one compartment for each conductor, and each conductor carries connecting structure. Ends of the spring clip connectors carry complementary connecting structure.
