A system for and method of powering an electric-powered device associated with a vehicle is described that utilizes an adapter that receives current from an energy-converting cell and the vehicle battery. A system for and method of charging or maintaining a charge of a battery of a vehicle is disclosed. The system utilizes a light-transforming cell that can transform light energy to current. The cell may be supported such that the cell is exposed to light energy. Current produced by the cell is communicated with the battery through electrical connectors, which may have a switch. This invention may decrease occasions when a vehicle operator faces a weakened or dead battery in a vehicle because the invention serves to maintain the charge of the vehicles battery when the vehicle is not in use.

A message handler can dynamically change messages that are output during execution of a computer application. The messages are stored in a message file. When the application begins execution, it opens the message file, extracts the messages, stores them as message entries in a message table in computer memory and closes the file. Message records and message entries have formatting tags that allow dynamic substitution of desired information without expensive recompiling or version releases.

Abstract:

At telecommunication service that takes caller mobility into account and allows the caller to connect to a destination on one attempt. The intelligent call connection service according to the present invention receives a call initiated by a caller/subscriber and dials the called partys number identified by the subscriber. If the called partys line is busy or unanswered, the connection service prompts the subscriber to hang up. Thereafter, the connection service continues calling the called party for a predetermined duration and, when the called party answers, calls the subscriber back at one or more of the telephone numbers supplied by the subscriber as part of the service subscription. Thus, the subscriber or caller mobility is not hampered when the called partys line is busy or unanswered. The service-doesnt require the caller/subscriber to reinitiate the call when the called partys line is busy or unanswered. The call connection service takes a subscribers call and connects to a destination requiring only one calling attempt by the caller/subscriber.
