Abstract:
A light tilting apparatus usable with an extendable light. In one embodiment, a mobile lighting system includes a tiltable light assembly mounted to an extendable tower on a trailer. The tiltable light assembly includes one or more lights fixedly mounted to a tilting member pivotably mounted to the extendable tower. A linkage operably connected to the tilting member at one end has a catch on a distal end. A linkage regulator attached to the extendable tower has a guide portion for the linkage to pass through as the extendable tower is extended and retracted. The linkage regulator is configured to engage the catch on the distal end of the linkage when the extendable tower reaches a preselected extension position restricting further motion of the linkage in the direction of tower extension. The linkage causes the tilting member to pivot and rotate the lights downward with continued extension of the extendable tower past the preselected extension position. Retraction of the extendable tower back to the preselected extension position, accordingly, results in causing rotation of the lights upwardly.

Light adjustment apparatuses and methods for adjusting light assemblies are disclosed herein. One embodiment can include a light holder having a housing, a mounting bracket coupled to the housing, a support member rotatably attached to the mounting bracket, and a lock to restrict the mounting bracket from rotating relative to the support member about an axis of rotation. In another embodiment, a method is provided for adjusting a light assembly. The method includes removing a lock from a first lock receiver in a mounting bracket and a second lock receiver in a support member; rotating the mounting bracket and a light assembly attached to the mounting bracket as a unit so that the light is aimed at a selected orientation; aligning a third lock receiver in the mounting bracket with the second lock receiver in the support member; and placing the lock in the third lock receiver of the mounting bracket and the second lock receiver of the support member.
A drive assembly in a motorized door opener includes a motor that is mounted on a mounting structure. At least one vibration isolator is provided between the motor and the mounting structure. The vibration isolator includes a first mounting fastener configured to be mounted to a mounting fastener on the motor, a second mounting fastener configured to be mounted to the mounting structure to mount the motor on the mounting structure, and an elastomeric material between the first and second mounting fasteners. The elastomeric material lies between the first and second mounting fasteners so that the isolator's two mounting fasteners are not in physical contact.

Abstract:
The invention provides a vibration isolation mount for a motorized garage door opener system. The mount includes a substantially planar first mounting plate with apertures configured for mounting to structure inside a garage, and a substantially planar second mounting plate with threaded bolt shafts or other mounting elements configured for mounting to motor mounting structure mounted to a drive motor for use in the system. A vibration isolation material, which may be a natural or synthetic rubber, is disposed between the first and second mounting plates to isolate noise and vibration produced by the motor from the structure mounting the assembly to the interior of the garage.

Abstract:
A method of powering an obstruction detector. Power is provided to an obstruction detector when a motor is executing a first movement and is suppressed to the obstruction detector when the motor is idle and when the motor is executing a second movement. The first movement moves a movable barrier towards a closed position, and the second movement moves the barrier towards an open position.

Abstract:
A central vacuum power unit includes separate components that can be disassembled and nested together for compact shipment and storage. In the disassembled and nested assembly, the motor module is nested within the dust bucket, and the dust bucket is nested within the body module. For vacuuming operation, the dust bucket is attached below the body module and the motor module is stacked and attached above the body module. A filter is disposed inside the body module and filters debris from air entering the power unit. Debris is collected in the dust bucket, and filtered air is exhausted from a port in the motor module. Latches on the body module are used to attach the dust bucket underneath the body module in operation, and to secure the nested assembly for packaging and shipping.

Abstract:
Apparatus for braking relative vertical movement between two vertical members includes linkage connected either directly or indirectly to a cable pulley-mount that is spring loaded and moves cams that wedge in between two vertically moveable members when cable tension is not present at the pulley. A broken cable, for example, will create a situation where there is no cable tension between a plurality of cable pulleys, the lack of cable tension moves the mechanical cam style linkage to engage the braking members.

Study author Mark Mattson, a professor of neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, hones in on two types: Daily time-restricted feeding (eating 6-8 hours a day and fasting for 16-18 hours) and 5:2 intermittent fasting (fasting two days a week, usually capping a fasting day at 500 calories).

Goodbye, stressful diets? Intermittent fasting offers health benefits, study says. But it's not for everybody
While intermittent fasting diets vary, the practices of alternating between certain periods of eating and not eating fall into two categories, said co-author Mark Mattson, a neuroscience professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Fasting for 18 hours every day could help you live longer
Upon reviewing all of the available data, researchers led by author Mark Mattson of Johns Hopkins University suggest that fasting either on a daily basis or for days at a time on a set schedule, can prompt the body to metabolize fats rather than store them. This, of course, leads to weight loss, but
