Electrochemiluminescent label compounds containing multimetallic centers separated by bridging ligands are described. An example of a multimetallic electrochemiluminescent label suitable for use in electrochemiluminescence (ECL) methods, [(bpy) Ru] (bphb) , demonstrates ECL efficiencies 2 to 3 times greater than those for Ru(bpy) in acetonitrile and aqueous media. Such multimetallic ECL compounds may be especially useful in the design of new labels for bioanalytical applications, such as immunoassays and DNA probes.

Abstract:
This invention pertains to the general field of chemical and biological assays which employ electrochemiluminscence (ECL), also referred to as electrogenerated chemiluminescence. More particularly, the present invention pertains to certain classes of chemical moieties which strongly quench ECL, and the use of these ECL quenchers in combination with ECL labels, for example, in ECL assay methods which employ an ECL quencher and an ECL label. One class of such quenching moieties are those which comprise at least one benzene moiety. Sub-classes of such quenching moieties are those which comprise at least one phenol moiety, quinone moiety, benzene carboxylic acid, and/or benzene carboxylate moiety.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for combined flow control and electricity generation are described. Various embodiments may comprise an energy recovery device adapted to produce an electric current. At least a portion of the electric current may be used to power a pump. A control system may be adapted to adjust operating parameters of the system to stabilize or maximize the efficiency of the energy recovery device.
Door Skin, A Method Of Etching A Plate, And An Etched Plate Formed Therefrom
The present invention relates to a door skin comprising an exterior surface having outer portions lying on a first plane, spaced grooves recessed from the plane of the outer portions, and tonal portions having a planar area and a plurality of spaced depressions recessed from the plane of said planar area. The present invention is also directed to a method of etching a plate, for use with a molded die set, for embossing a wood grain pattern in the door skin, and the etched plate formed therefrom.
