Abstract:

A communications network gateway receives a stream of information formatted to be compatible with a first sub-network and it receives a stream of information formatted to be compatible with a second sub-network. The frames in the second stream are extracted and modified to be compatible with the transmission format of the first sub-network. The two streams of information are then aggregated for transmission over a logical network link in a manner that optimizes the bandwidth utilization of the overall communications network.

Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided that enable streaming of ATM cells between a transmit/receive data processing application and a transmission convergence function. Data to be segmented into an ATM cell is received at a SAR engine, and provided to a transmission convergence function, with the first cells transmitted to the transmission convergence function before the SAR function receives an end-of-packet indication from the optimization engine. Data received at a transmission convergence function is placed in a received packet queue at the SAR function, with packets provided to an application after a start-of-packet indication is received, and before an end-of-packet indication is received, at the SAR function.

Abstract:

A graph-based data flow control system includes a control plane system coupled to SCP subsystems. The control plane system identifies a workload, and identifies service(s) on the SCP subsystems for manipulating/exchanging data to perform the workload. The control plane system generates a respective SCP-local data flow control graph for each SCP subsystem that defines how their service(s) will manipulate/exchange data within that SCP subsystem, and generates inter-SCP data flow control graph(s) that define how service(s) provided by at least one SCP subsystem will manipulate/exchange data with service(s) provided by at least one other SCP subsystem. The control plane system then transmits each respective SCP-local data flow control graph to each of the SCP subsystems, and the inter-SCP data flow control graph(s) to at least one SCP subsystem, for use by the SCP subsystems in causing their service(s) to manipulate/exchange data to perform the workload.

Abstract:

A system control processor manager uses composed information handling systems that utilize resource sets of information handling systems and an infrastructure manager. The infrastructure manager obtains a composition request for a composed information handling system; allocates a portion of resource sets to the composed information handling system using a telemetry data map; makes a determination that at least one of the portion of the allocated resource sets is hosted by an information handling system that does not include a physical system control processor; and in response to the determination: provides the information handling system with access to a system control processor without adding any physical system control processors to the information handling system; and directs access requests, by entities hosted by the information handling system and directed to the portion of the allocated resource sets, through the system control processor.

Abstract:

A system for managing composed information handling systems to manage access to data by applications hosted by the composed information handling systems includes a system control processor that instantiates a composed information handling system using a compute resource set that hosts applications and a hardware resource set that stores a portion of the data, associates, using authorization information, storage areas of the at least one hardware resource set with the applications to obtain storage area associations, obtains a data access request from the compute resource set for the portion of the data which is stored in a storage area of the storage areas, makes a determination, based on the storage area associations and an initiator of the data access request, that the initiator of the data access request is not authorized to access the portion of the data, and refuses to service the data access request.

Abstract:

A device for managing composition of composed information handling includes persistent storage and a computer processor that obtains a composition request for a composed information handling system; makes a determination that the composition request is an intent based request; in response to the determination: matches an application specified by the composition request to computing resource requirements for the application; identifies, based on the computing resource requirements, at least one compute resource set having resources meeting the computing resources requirement; identifies, based on the computing resource requirements, at least one hardware resource set having resources meeting the computing resource requirements; sets up management services for the at least one hardware resource set using at least one control resource set to obtain logical hardware resources; and presents the logical hardware resources to the at least one compute resource set as bare metal resources.
