Skills:
Collect and prepare specimens and/or samples for testing utilizing diluting, staining, and/or centrifuging techniques. Examine and analyze samples and identify chemical content, chemical reaction, and/or drug levels in the blood. Investigate abnormalities or out-of-spec parameters. Prepare equipment; organize supplies, solutions and reagents. Perform chemical, immunological, serological, bacteriological, hematological, parasitological, virological and microscopic tests. Evaluate test results for accuracy, document and generate reports aligned with QC protocols. Calibrate, operate and conduct preventive maintenance on sophisticated laboratory equipment and instruments. Implement and maintain aseptic techniques, good laboratory practices and safe laboratory standards and regulations. Develop, evaluate, and modify procedures, techniques and tests used in the analysis of specimens applicable to a medical / clinical laboratory. Engage with the public, medical staff, laboratory personnel and reference laboratory. Compile and generate official documents to comply with regulatory standards within highly regulated industries. Plan, coordinate and facilitate clinical training on hematology, chemistry, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, reference and phlebotomy laboratory procedures, QC and preventive maintenance services for new hires. Administer, process, and safeguard confidential data. Manage laboratory workflow, QC and QA standards.
