Abstract:

A dynamic load balancing system is described that determines the load of resources in a hosted environment dynamically by monitoring the usage of resources by each customer and determines the number of customers hosted by a server based on the actual resources used. The system receives a performance threshold that indicates when a server is too heavily loaded and monitors the resource usage by each customer. When the load of an overloaded server in the hosted environment exceeds the received performance threshold, the system selects a source customer currently hosted by the overloaded server to move to another server.

Abstract:

A method for forming letters using a template by grouping letters based on similarities in the direction of muscle movement which takes advantage of the similar hand movements used with-in particular groups of letters. The learning of these letters is organized so that after one letter is mastered, another letter is learned based on the similarities of hand movements used in printing a learned letter and the next letter being taught. The handwriting method facilitates learning how to read and write in new languages.

Abstract:

Optimizing augmented reality scenes by using depth information to accurately display interactions between real objects and synthetic objects is described. A stream of depth data associated with a real scene of an augmented reality display and a stream of color data associated with the real scene may be received. The stream of depth data may be processed to construct a first mesh and the first mesh may be projected into a color space associated with the stream of color data to construct a second mesh. In some examples, a position of the synthetic objects respective to real objects in the real scene may be determined and/or queries may be conducted to determine how the synthetic objects interact with the real objects in the real scene. Based at least on constructing the second mesh, determining positions, and/or conducting queries, one or more synthetic objects may be drawn into the real scene.
