Abstract:

A method and system for constructing and delivering sponsored search contracts is provided. In one implementation, the method may include generating a financial instrument with terms, such as a contract, for selling click-throughs. The terms may include a volume of click-throughs, a price, and a core market. The price of the contract may be related to an expected quality of the advertisement. The core market may be described in terms of key words. The contract terms may be communicated to an advertiser. The advertiser may then bind an advertisement to the contract or sell the contract to another advertiser. The contract performance may be tracked and communicated.

Abstract:

The technology relates to providing an enhanced user experience for riders in autonomous vehicles. Two or more displays may be arranged at different locations within a vehicle to provide notifications, alerts and control options. Information may be dynamically and automatically switched between these displays, as well as a rider's own personal communication device(s). What information to present on each screen can depend on factors including how many riders are in the vehicle, their seating within the vehicle, how their attention is focused and/or display location and size. Certain information may be mirrored or otherwise duplicated among multiple screens while other information can be presented asymmetrically on different screens. Presented information may include a “monologue” from the vehicle explaining why a driving action is taken or not taken, alerts about important conditions, buttons to control certain functionality of the vehicle, or other information that may be of interest to the rider.

Abstract:

Aspects of the disclosure relate to providing an end of trip sequence when a vehicle is nearing its destination. One or more computing devices may generate and display a video indicating a projected trajectory of the vehicle and objects detected by sensors on the vehicle, on a map corresponding to a route the vehicle is currently following, where the video is generated from a perspective of a virtual camera at a default position and default pitch A determination that the vehicle has reached a threshold relative to the route of the vehicle may be made and the position and pitch of the virtual camera may be adjusted to an updated position above the vehicle and a perspective which looks downwards towards a roof of the vehicle. The video may then be generated and displayed from the perspective of the virtual camera at the updated position.
