For purposes of patent searching a description includes aspects in which users of presentations of entertainment, news, education and other can research and/or purchase products observed to be involved in the presentations by using presentation placement data and a product description obtained through observation, the product description being insufficient alone to fully support such research and/or purchasing activities. Product data and presentation placement data are stored and associated. Issuance data may also be stored and associated with the product data and the presentation placement data. Various methods and systems are used to provide access to one or more of these data and associations.

Methods and apparatus to correct for deterioration of a demographic model to associate demographic information with media impression information are disclosed. An example method includes estimating first and second ages of audience members based on demographic information; estimating a third age of an audience member who is not included in the audience members; applying a window function to the second ages to determine a distribution of ages based on the third age; multiplying window values by the first ages to determine corrected first age components; dividing a total of the corrected first age components by a sum of the window values to determine an estimated age of the audience member at a first time; and determining the corrected age of the audience member at a second time based on the estimated age of the audience member at the first time and a time difference between the first and second times.
Methods And Apparatus To Identify Co-Relationships Between Media Using Social Media
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to identify co-relationships between media using social media. An example apparatus includes an audience estimator to: estimate a first audience of first media based on a first set of media-exposure social media messages corresponding to client devices referencing the first media, and estimate a second audience of second media based on a second set of media-exposure social media messages corresponding to the client devices referencing the second media. The example apparatus also includes a pairing classifier to: determine a pairing-score for a media-pairing based on the first and second audiences and the first and second sets of media-exposure social media messages, determine a relationship threshold to apply to the media-pairing based on the first media and the second media, and classify the media-pairing based on the pairing-score and the relationship threshold to improve an accuracy of a system associated with generating audience analysis information.

Methods and apparatus for determining a unique audience exposed to media while reducing memory resources of a computing device are disclosed herein. Example instructions cause a machine to at least, based on impression requests from a plurality of client devices via a network, log a plurality of impressions corresponding to media accessed at the client devices; obtain a count of demographic impressions logged by a database proprietor; obtain a count of registered users of the database proprietor exposed to the media; and execute a process to determine a unique audience size by multiplying a count of the plurality of impressions by a square of the count of the registered users to generate a product; dividing the product by the count of the demographic impressions to generate a quotient; and determining the unique audience size based on a square root of the quotient.

An example disclosed method includes identifying, with a processor, a segment group comprising observation data associated with two or more segments, respective ones of the two or more segments having a similar first characteristic and a dissimilar second characteristic, identifying first portions of the observation data having errors, generating a first matrix of binary indicators associated with the observation data, the binary indicators associating the first portions of the observation data with a first correction factor, and generating a value for the first correction factor by minimizing a residual sum of squares of the segment group observation data associated with the first matrix of binary indicators.

Abstract:
In some embodiments, a method determines characteristics of a user that is viewing a video and analyzes presentation data describing products within a presentation. A product opportunity is selected based on the characteristics of the user and the presentation data for a product. The method selects first metadata for the presentation data and second metadata for the product associated with the presentation data. Then, the method dynamically inserts the first metadata for the presentation data and second metadata for the product into a portion of the video and sends the portion of the video to the user. The product is displayed in the video using the presentation data at the product opportunity.
