Abstract:
In one aspect, the invention is a tuned stub, SCSI topology comprising a SCSI bus, a breakout node on the SCSI bus, an external SCSI connector on the SCSI bus at a first point defined by a first propagation delay; an internal SCSI connector on the SCSI bus at a second point defined by a second propagation delay, the first and second propagation delays being substantially equal; a SCSI adapter electrically tapping the breakout node; and a terminator electrically tapping the breakout node.

A switch fabric system comprises a first chassis for receiving a plurality of line cards each having a plurality of ports and at least two switch fabric cards wherein each line card comprises a plurality of link ports for linking the line card with the switch fabric card. Each switch fabric card provides a switching bandwidth. The system comprises a management unit for managing the traffic on the switch fabric cards wherein the management unit removes the traffic from one switch fabric card if the one switch fabric card is to be removed while the other switch fabric card operates and transfers the traffic to the other switch fabric card.
A tuned stub, SCSI topology is disclosed. More particularly, a SCSI bus comprises a plurality of SCSI load stubs, a pair of SCSI terminators, a plurality of traces electrically connecting the SCSI load stubs between the SCSI terminators, and a plurality of tuning stubs. The tuning stubs are positioned at predetermined locations on the plurality of traces and have predetermined lengths such that they are capable of filtering noise on the SCSI bus.

Abstract:
A power connector system for a circuit card assembly includes a board power connector and a cable power connector coupled to the board power connector. The board power connector includes a board housing having cavities that hold power contacts and signal contact channels on the bottom that hold signal contacts. The cable power connector has a cable housing having contact silos holding cable power contacts terminated to power cables. The contact silos and the cable power contacts are received in the cavities of the board housing to mate the cable power contacts with the board power contacts. The cable housing includes a platform below the contact silos holding cable signal contacts at the bottom of the cable housing outside of the contact silos for mating with the board signal contacts when the cable power connector is mated with the board power connector.

Abstract:
A system includes off-memory-module ECC-supplemental memory. In a process, an ECC-capable memory controller converts non-ECC data words to ECC data words and distributes each ECC data word between a non-ECC memory module set (of one or more non-ECC memory modules) and the ECC-supplemental memory. A host computer system can include a baseboard on which are mounted an ECC-capable memory controller, off-memory-module ECC-supplemental memory, and sockets for installing non-ECC memory modules.
