- Rancho Cordova CA, US Meghan Kathleen Murphy - Davis CA, US Matthew Allen Workman - Sacramento CA, US Jay William Sales - Sacramento CA, US
International Classification:
A61B 5/00 G16H 40/67 G01J 1/42 G01N 21/33
Abstract:
A system, according to various embodiments, includes eyewear (or any other suitable wearable device) that includes at least one environmental pollution monitoring sensor (e.g., at least one light pollution, air pollution, radioactive pollution, thermal pollution, and/or noise pollution sensor) that may be used to monitor the presence of environmental pollution adjacent a wearer of the eyewear. The system may further include one or more health monitoring sensors to determine the health effects of the environmental pollution on the wearer. In certain circumstances, the system may alert the user to potentially harmful environmental conditions, or convey preventative healthcare advice to the wearer.
Wearable Gait Monitoring Apparatus, Systems, And Related Methods
Eyewear or any other suitable wearable device may include one or more sensors for monitoring the gait of an individual. Information from the one or more sensors is analyzed to identify one or more medical conditions associated with the individual or to assess an individual's recovery from a particular injury or medical procedure.

International Classification:
A61B 5/22 A61B 5/00 A61B 5/024
Abstract:
Computerized eyewear and corresponding methods measure a wearer's heart rate using a first optical sensor and a second optical sensor at least partially embedded in an eyewear temple. The first optical sensor transmits a first signal to a temple of the wearer and the second optical sensor transmits a second signal to the temple of the wearer. Reflections of the first signal are used to measure a raw heart rate delta and reflections of the second signal are used to measure a noise delta. The raw heart rate delta and the noise delta are used to determine a measured heart rate of the wearer of the computerized eyewear.
Wearable Physiology Monitor Computer Apparatus, Systems, And Related Methods
A computer-implemented method of detecting physiological attributes of a wearer of a computerized wearable device having one or more sensors comprises (1) using the information from the one or more sensors to assess the physiology of the wearer; and (2) notifying the wearer of the wearer's physiology. In various embodiments, the method involves using the wearable device to determine the wearer's current posture, balance, alertness, and/or physical state and comparing the current posture, balance, alertness and/or physical state to at least one baseline measurement. For example, the system may measure a baseline posture to determine when the wearer's current posture deviates from the baseline posture, and notify the wearer so that the wearer may improve his or her posture. In other embodiments, the computerized wearable device may detect one or more of the wearer's physiological characteristics (e.g., oxygen levels, pulse rate, pupil size, etc.) and determine the wearer's alertness level.
Systems And Methods For Tracking Motion, Performance, And Other Data For An Individual Such As A Winter Sports Athlete
A tracking system, in various embodiments, is configured to measure an athlete's performance based at least in part on magnetic field measurements taken by one or more magnetometers. In a particular embodiment, the system comprises one or more magnetometers (e.g., that may be embedded in one or more wearable devices, such as eyewear) and at least one magnet disposed on a portion of the athlete or their equipment. The system is configured to receive magnetic field information associated with the at least one magnet using the one or more magnetometers and determine the performance data based at least in part on the magnetic field information.
Systems, Apparatus, And Methods For Using A Wearable Device To Confirm The Identity Of An Individual
A wearable device includes at least one sensor for obtaining a unique identifier from the wearer when the wearer and for transmitting the unique identifier to one or more computer processors for use in determining whether the wearer is a particular individual. The wearable device may also include a wireless communications device for transmitting a signal (e.g., to a remote computing device) that confirms the identity of the wearer as the particular individual. A remote computing device, or other device, or individual, may then, based at least in part on receiving the signal, grant wearer access to a computer program, computing system, and/or a particular physical space.

International Classification:
G06Q 30/06 G06K 7/10
Abstract:
A computerized, interactive eyewear display board system, comprising a plurality of display shelves mounted to a display board's support structure, each of the display shelves comprising at least one light that is adapted to selectively illuminate the respective shelf, the at least one light being controlled a computer processor; and an item tracking mechanism that is adapted to determine which particular eyewear is on each particular respective one of the display shelves. In various embodiments, the display board system is adapted to receive eyewear preference criteria from a user, identify particular eyewear that is placed on a particular one of the display shelves that satisfies the eyewear preference criteria, and in response to determining that the particular eyewear satisfies the eyewear preference criteria, illuminate the particular shelf.
System For Monitoring Individuals As They Age In Place
- Rancho Cordova CA, US Matthew Allen Workman - Sacramento CA, US Meghan Kathleen Murphy - Davis CA, US Matthew David Steen - Sacramento CA, US
International Classification:
A61B 5/11
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method, and related system, for monitoring the wellbeing of an individual by providing eyewear that includes at least one sensor for monitoring the motion of the user. In various embodiments, the system receives data generated by the at least one sensor, uses the data to determine the user's movements using the received data, and compares the user's movements to previously established movement patterns of the user. If the system detects one or more inconsistencies between the user's current movements as compared to the previously established movement patterns of the user, the system may notify the user or a third party of the detected one or more inconsistencies. The system may similarly monitor a user's compliance with a medical regime and notify the user or a third party of the user's compliance with the regime.
