Abstract:

A yoke anchor for a compound bow is described which includes a semi-circular yoke portion having a perimetric groove for reception of the yoke cable affixed to the end of the bow limb and a central groove for reception of a terminal loop on the inside cable to be attached. A hook portion extends from one surface of the generally planar yoke portion and receives the other inside cable therein to cause the anchor and first inside cable to be pulled away from the bow string, thereby minimizing the chance of the bow string slapping against the yoke anchor or the inside cables during use.

Abstract:

A self-tensioning volleyball net comprises an elongated net which has elastic stretch cord, with a first effective end and a second effective end attached by the first effective end to the net. The second effective end of the elastic stretch cord receives a hook which is adapted to be secured to an external net support. One embodiment has an elastic stretch cord with a first end and a second end fixedly attached to each other, so that a loop with a first effective end and a second effective end, as previously described, is formed. A second embodiment has an elastic stretch cord with a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of the elastic stretch cord is attached to the elastic stretch cord at a point distant from the second end of the elastic stretch cord to form a first effective end, and the second end of the elastic stretch cord is attached to the elastic stretch cord at a point distant from the first end to form a third effective end, and the second effective end is defined by the point where a hook is attached to the elastic stretch cord. The second embodiment further has a drawstring extending along an elongated edge of the net, with the drawstring fixedly attached to a pair of elastic stretch cords at the third effective end.

Abstract:

A cable separator for a compound bow is disclosed which includes a body defining an aperture within which a cable guard on the bow is slidably received. A first inside cable surface having a groove facing away from the cable guard is defined on one side of the guard. An L-shaped flange extends on the other side of the cable guard and defines a cable surface for reception thereagainst of the other inside cable of the bow. The cable separator may be mounted to an assembled bow and the inside cables positioned therewith, without the necessity of unstringing the bow.

A basketball backboard apparatus is disclosed herein which includes a sandwich board comprising rigid front and rear panels and a resilient intermediate layer received therebetween in a sandwich relationship. Rivets are received through apertures in the sandwich board to secure the board members together, and mounting apertures are also provided for mounting the backboard to an external support and for mounting a basketball goal to the backboard. A relatively soft border is secured about the perimeter of the backboard.

Abstract:

A mobile or permanently fixed basketball goal system wherein the backboard and hoop can be adjusted to a desired height by a user. The goal has a vertical support member having a base end, a backboard end and an intermediate portion, and a backboard including a hoop. Crossmembers pivotally connect the backboard to the vertical support member on one side of the backboard end, to form an adjustable parallelogram. At least one of the crossmembers extends beyond the vertical support member to an extension end. A clamp is mounted on a brace for the vertical support member or directly on the vertical support member. The clamp is fixedly adjustable within a continuous range and connects with the counterbalanced extension end via an extension member. When the clamp is moved, it acts to rotate the extending crossmember to raise or lower the backboard and hoop.
