The present invention teaches liquid sunscreen compositions in which level of surfactant is higher than level at which the sunscreen component(s) are still soluble in the surfactant in which they are used; and which comprise minimal levels of cationic polymer. Combination of cationic polymer (especially preferred surfactants and at minimum levels) and minimal levels of sunscreen lead to compositions with minimal levels of deposition and minimal SPF. Further, the compositions also maintain good lather.

The invention provides a single chamber transparent or translucent package and personal product composition where when standing, the product forms 2 or more visibly distinct phases and, when agitated, the composition forms a visible single phase.
Suspending System For Insoluble Peroxy Acid Bleach

Assignee:
Lever Brothers Company - New York NY
International Classification:
C11D 3395 C11D 754
US Classification:
252 95
Abstract:
An aqueous liquid bleaching composition is described having a pH from 1 to 6. 5 and comprising a solid, particulate, substantially water-insoluble organic peroxy acid such as diperoxydodecanedioic acid. This peroxy acid is stably suspended in the aqueous liquid by a structurant combination of secondary alkane sulfonate and fatty acid.

Lever Brothers Company, Division of Conopco, Inc. - New York NY
International Classification:
C11D 3386 C11D 337
US Classification:
25217412
Abstract:
This invention provides a liquid detergent composition comprising: (a) 5-85% by weight of a surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic, cationic, ampholytic or zwitterionic surfactants and mixtures thereof; (b) an effective amount of enzyme; and (c) an amount of protein containing quaternary nitrogen substituent sufficient to stabilize the enzyme from loss of activity.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to isotropic enzymatic liquid detergent compositions comprising lipolytic enzymes. The stability of the lipolytic enzymes is significantly improved therein by inclusion of particular nonionic ethylene glycol containing copolymers therein. These polymers comprise ethylene oxide or ethylene glycol, copolymerized with difunctional acids or acrylic based copolymers. Isotropic liquids are obtained without the aid of hydrocarbon solvents. The compositions preferably also contain proteolytic enzymes.

Abstract:
The invention concerns detergent compositions comprising a special type of oxidation resistant nonionic surfactant and an oxidizing agent which may either be a hypochlorite or a peroxygen material. The surfactant component structurally comprises a C. sub. 8 -C. sub. 12 alkyl substituted phenoxy hydrophobe alkoxylated with ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide, with the proviso that the ratio of ethylene oxide to propylene oxide is at least 1 but no higher than 10. Methyl or chloroethyl groups are used to endcap the surfactant.
