Abstract:

In an arcuate roof section including a series of rafters which each define an exposed end of the prescribed height, a device positionable along the exposed ends of the series of rafters to define an arcuate facia. The device comprises at least one facia member having an arcuate inner surface, an arcuate outer surface, a top edge and a bottom edge. The inner surface of the facia member is configured to abut the exposed ends of the rafters such that the outer surface defines the arcuate facia. Additionally, the width between the top edge and the bottom edge of the facia member exceeds the height of the exposed ends. The facia member may be formed from a plurality of laminated wood members or formed from bonded particulate matter. Additionally, the facia member may be formed from a plastic material.

Abstract:

An apparatus and method is provided for forming a dual radius arch frame structure. The apparatus includes a longitudinal member having a centerline and centerpoint. A laterally adjustable support is further included which has one end attached to the centerpoint of the longitudinal member in a perpendicular orientation and a vertical support attached to a distal end of the laterally adjustable support. A left outer form is provided which has a generally semi-circular shaped arch centered and oriented about a left pivot axis located on the centerline a predetermined distance from the centerpoint. A right outer form is also provided which has a generally semi-circular shaped arch centered and oriented about a right pivot axis located on the centerline a predetermined distance from the centerpoint. Additionally, an arched shaped center cord is adapted to be connected to a receiving edge of the left outer form and of the right outer form in a tangentially continuous manner. Also, at least one adjustable left strut assembly interconnects the left outer form to the vertical support and at least one adjustable right strut assembly interconnects the right outer form to the vertical support.

Abstract:

Provided as a curved staircase which extends between upper and lower levels of a building structure. The building structure has a plurality of spaced vertical wall studs. The curved staircase comprises a plurality of step modules each including a side panel, a front riser and a back riser. Each of the step modules is disposed in stacked relationship to one another to define a plurality of module joints. Each one of the step modules includes a tread which is mounted on the back riser and side panel as well as on the front riser of the next lowest step module. Inner and outer reinforcing panels are disposed in overlapping relationship to the step modules in order to interconnect the step modules.

Abstract:

Provided is a curved staircase installed between upper and lower levels of a building structure. The curved staircase may be configured as an “outside radius free-standing” version, an “inside radius free-stranding” version, or as an “entirely free-standing” version using a plurality of step modules disposed in stacked relationship to one another. The step modules may be configured in single-step and/or dual-step versions. Each one of the step modules has at least one side panel and at least one riser assembly which comprises a tread ledger and a front riser. A tread is mounted on the tread ledger and side panel of each of the step modules. Each of the treads is also supported by the front riser of the immediately lower adjacent one of the step modules. Inner and outer reinforcing panels are disposed in overlapping relationship to the side panel to interconnect the step modules.

Abstract:

A staircase kit comprises a plurality of side panels and a plurality of inner and outer reinforcing panels disposed in layered arrangement over the side panels. The side panels and inner and outer reinforcing panels have preformed holes extending axially therethrough. The side panels are disposed in stacked relation to one another to form a plurality of module joints there between. Likewise, the inner reinforcing panels are disposable in overlapping relationship to the module joints. The inner reinforcing panels form a plurality of inner panel joints that are preferably disposed in staggered relationship to the module joints. The outer reinforcing panels are disposed in overlapping relationship to the inner panel joints to form a plurality of outer panel joints that are disposed in staggered relationship to the inner panel joints. The preformed holes of the side panels are axially alignable with the preformed holes of the inner and outer reinforcing panels such that mechanical fasteners may be installed at the job site in order to assemble the staircase kit for interconnection to a building structure.

Abstract:

A groin vault ceiling kit comprises a set of four arch-shaped ceiling segments each having a pair of converging diagonal edges oriented at a 45 degree angle relative to a back edge of each of the ceiling segments. Each of the ceiling segments may be comprised of an arch-shaped triangular tip portion which is axially alignable and abuttingly disposed against an arch-shaped semi-circular main portion. A connecting member may be disposed along concave outer surfaces of the tip and main portions for interconection thereof. Each of the tip and main portions may be fabricated of a plurality of laminated members in a pre-formed arch-shape. The groin vault ceiling kit is adapted for installation into a building structure such as via wall studs and ceiling joists where each of the ceiling segments is configured to be secured thereto.

A bag dispensing device comprising an elongate, tubular housing defining open top and bottom ends. Extending between the top and bottom ends is a passage for receiving and storing a plurality of bags. Extending through the passage and from the open top and bottom ends of the housing is an elongate, flexible dispensing member.
