Abstract:

A container capable of containing components of a mixture in chambers separated by a peelable seal constructed from a multi-layer film. The multi-layer film has at least one layer of a RF-responsive material and an interior layer of non-RF responsive material. When the layers are subjected to RF energy, the RF-responsive layer heats the interior layers resulting in a bond in the form of a peelable seal between the interior layers. The peelable seal is capable of withstanding external pressures to the container, such as from dropping the container. The seal may be selectively opened to allow mixture of components contained therein.

Abstract:

The present invention provides polymer blends having a first component of a polymeric material capable of being cross-linked and selected from the group consisting of an ethylene containing polymer, the first component present in an amount by weight of the blend from about 50% to about 95%, the first component having a first melting point temperature determined by DSC; and a second component of a non-readily cross-linkable polymeric material and selected from the group consisting of propylene containing polymers and methyl pentene containing polymers, the second component being present in an amount by weight of the blend from about 50% to about 5%, the second component having a second melting point temperature determined by DSC; and a portion of the first component being cross-linked and the second component is essentially free of cross-linking.

Abstract:

A device is described for accurately transferring multiple individual fluids from multiple source containers into a single receiving container. Fluid flows from the multiple source containers through individual fluid conduits to a chamber having a single fluid outlet conduit. The fluid outlet conduit is in fluid communication with a single receiving container. A pressure conduit is in communication with the chamber for alternately creating positive and negative pressures in the chamber to cause fluid to flow from the individual source containers into the chamber, and to cause fluid flow from the chamber into the receiving container in response to commands from a controller.
