Disclosed is a device comprised of a one-piece fabricated light holder structure attachable to a variety of cooking grills. The disclosed light holder comprises a rigid, symmetrically-bent channel member, at least one horizontally-oriented attachment arm culminating in a fastening tab, and at least one pre-drilled hole in each fastening tab, said holes, corresponding to the spacing of fastening holes commonly used to attach a handle to the lid of a cooking grill. The pre-drilled holes of the fastening tab of the light holder allow the light holder to easily be fastened and co-located in holes provided for the original manufacturer's grill cover handle. An appropriately-sized, batter-powered light fixture is then securely placed within the channel segment of the light holder.
Grate Device And Method For Storing A Barbeque Grill
The inventive concept disclosed comprises a storage grate for grills of the type typically used in outdoor barbecue grills and particularly, kamado-style grills. The device is essentially a one-piece rod having been bent and formed into specific angles and segments, thereby allowing the device to be attached onto an outdoor cooking grill or kamado-style charcoal cooking grill as is marketed by many commercial brands. The device serves the purpose of short-term or long-term retention and storage of the grill used in the cooking process prior to, or after use of the grill for cooking.
Method For Illumination Of Outdoor Cooking Grill Surface
Disclosed is a method for providing immediate, direct illumination of the cooking surface of an outdoor cooking grill. The method employs the installation of a one-piece metallic light fixture holder attachable to cooking grills which have a hinged, curvilinear grill cover. The light fixture holder comprises a rigid, symmetrically-bent channel member, at least one horizontally-oriented curvilinear attachment arm, fastening tabs, and at least one pre-drilled hole in each fastening tab, said holes, corresponding to holes commonly used to attach a handle to a grill cover. The pre-drilled holes of the fastening tab of the light fixture holder allow the light fixture holder to be easily fastened and co-located in holes provided for the original manufacturer's grill cover handle. An appropriately-sized LED or battery-powered light fixture is then securely placed within the channel segment of the light fixture holder.
Reversible, Raised Cooking Surface And Heat Deflector
The inventive concept presents a device and method to better provide cooking options to a user of an outdoor cooking grill. The disclosed “Plate Setter” is a reversible, circular plate-like structure having three legs integral to, and spaced symmetrically about, the circumference of the Plate Setter. The reversible structure is characterized by two integral, back-to-back cooking surfaces. Disclosed is a first cooking surface consisting of a plurality of parallel, raised ribs elevated above a walled, circular plate bed. The second cooking surface comprises a flat cooking surface reversible from, and precisely opposite to the first cooking surface. The second cooking surface further consists of three raised beams which intersect at a common point on the surface of the second cooking surface. The raised beams provide structural strength and also partition the second cooking surface into three equal cooking sections.
