Abstract:

An apparatus includes an image buffer, a graphics buffer, a memory, a router, and a sensor interface. The apparatus further includes a memory controller for controlling transfer of image data from the image buffer to the memory via the router and for controlling transfer of graphics data from the memory to the graphics buffer via the router. The apparatus also includes an image controller simultaneously operable with the memory controller for controlling transfer of the image data from the sensor interface to the image buffer. Optionally, the sensor interface comprises a receiver and a transmitter. Optionally, the apparatus further includes a header buffer, and a header controller simultaneously operable with the memory controller for controlling transfer of header data from the sensor interface to the header buffer. The apparatus optionally further includes a sensor for communicating with the header controller via the sensor interface.

Abstract:

This device relates to an athletic leg brace apparatus consisting of a flexible upper harness strap, a first- and second-lateral suspension rod having two terminal ends, each having holes or orifices spaced along the longitudinal axis thereof; a first- and second-lower lateral suspension rod having two terminal ends and holes or orifices spaced along the longitudinal axis thereof; a first- and second-shaped, contoured knee protection pad, suitable padded material layers internally disposed to first- and second-lower lateral suspension rods, whereby an upper and lower three-piece modular assemblies are formed. Means for securing said upper and lower assemblies to the upper and lower leg whereby the leg is braced and the knee protected.

Abstract:

An intra-train communication system includes a locomotive control unit (LCU) establishes a communications link between a lead unit and a remote unit which operate using different protocols and/or in different frequency bands. To accomplish this objective, the LCU automatically detects the type of lead unit and remote unit installed on the train. If the types are not the same, the LCU resolves any serial link protocol and arming differences that might exist in a manner virtually transparent to train operators. As a result, data is communicated between the lead and remote units in a way which requires less operator intervention and no software changes to the control computer of the head unit.
