Abstract:

A biochip substrate capable of realizing the high detection accuracy by restricting a nonspecific adsorption or bonding of a substance to be detected, when used for a detection or analysis of protein, nucleic acids and the like. Abstract:

This disclosure relates to a method and system that models a seed structure and uses a spectral analysis to identify which morphological seed structures are existent in the seed/seedling. Additionally, this disclosure relates to a method and system that applies multi-spectral analysis using predetermined models of a seed/seedling to identify which morphological structures are existent in the seed/seedling. The information about the existence or non-existence of structures of the seed/seedling is used to classify the seed as having a specific characteristic, for later commercial use or sale. The seed market determines which specific characteristic the method will use to classify the seed/seedling. The individual seed classification may help determine associated seed lot germination values.

Abstract:

The invention provides a prodrug platform technology for improving the therapeutic value of a variety of parent drug compounds by altering and improving drug characteristics such as aqueous solubility, hydrolytic stability, therapeutic index, toxicity profile, pharmacolcinetics and selectivity while allowing the potential for synthetic elaboration. The prodrug platform is particularly well suited for targeting therapeutic drugs, including anti-tumor drugs and antibiotics, to specific receptors on target cells (e.g., cancer cells and bacteria). The platform is a technology for providing an improved, preactivated form of a therapeutic drug, and for optionally targeting such drug to target cells or biological molecules.
