International Classification:

Abstract:
A valve, including: a valve seat including a seating surface with an outer edge furthest, an inner edge, and a first portion; and a valve body including a sealing surface with an outer edge, an inner edge, and a first portion. In a closed position, the first portion of the sealing surface is in contact with the first portion of the seating surface to block flow through the valve. The sealing surface tapers from the first portion of the sealing surface to the inner edge of the sealing surface or the outer edge of the sealing surface, or the seating surface tapers from the first portion of the seating surface to the inner edge of the seating surface or the outer edge of the seating surface. In the open position, the first portion of the sealing surface is free of contact with the first portion of the seating surface.

Abstract:
A pumping system utilizes a linear actuator to move a shaft attached to two pistons within cylinders to pump a working fluid. A housing is designed with coolant passageways and one-way valves such that movement of the shaft also pumps coolant past cooling fins and over a motor. The shaft is formed of several sections joined by couplers which slide within a bore of the housing. The couplers have a non-round shape and the bore has a complimentary non-round cross section such that rotation of the shaft is prevented.

Abstract:
An improved bearing cage is disclosed herein. The bearing cage assembly generally consists of two cage halves that are connected, fixed, or joined to each other directly via mating components formed integrally with the two cage halves. The cage halves are joined to each other via engagement of integrally formed sockets and posts defined on radially extending arms of the cage halves.
Electric Off-Axis Opposing Piston Linear Actuator Pumping System

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG - Herzogenaurach
International Classification:

Abstract:
A pumping system for fracking fluid is designed to provide nearly constant flow rate. The pumping system includes a set of linear actuator pumping units, each driven by an electric motor. Each pumping unit includes a first set of pumping chambers that expel fluid when the linear actuator is moving in a first direction and a second set of pumping chambers that expel fluid when the linear actuator is moving in an opposite direction. The speeds of the actuators are coordinated such that a total flow rate of the pumping system is substantially constant.
Co-Axial Inverted Piston Linear Actuator Pumping System

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG - Herzogenaurach
International Classification:
F04B 41/06 F04D 15/00
Abstract:
A pumping system for fracking fluid is designed to provide nearly constant flow rate. The pumping system includes a set of linear actuator pumping units, each driven by at least one electric motor. Each pumping unit includes a hollow threaded shaft driven by the linear actuator, two hollow cylinders fixed to an interior of the hollow shaft, and hollow pistons in each of the hollow cylinders. The hollow cylinders and hollow pistons form two pumping chambers. A first pumping chamber expels fluid when the linear actuator is moving in a first direction and a second pumping chamber that expels fluid when the linear actuator is moving in an opposite direction. The speeds of the actuators are coordinated such that a total flow rate of the pumping system is substantially constant.

Abstract:
A pumping system includes at least three electrically driven pumping units. Each pumping unit includes a linear actuator driven by at least one electric motor and driving a shaft. Pistons on each end of the shaft move within fixed cylinders to draw fluid from an inlet and expel the fluid to an outlet. Each pumping unit draws fluid at one end while expelling an equal quantity of fluid at the opposite end. The shaft velocity is controlled such that a total flow of the pumping system is constant, eliminating flow ripple.
Extended Shaft And Housing Interfaces For Axial Bearings
- Herzogenaurach, DE Michael Conlin - Rock Hill SC, US
Assignee:
Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG - Herzogenaurach
International Classification:
F16C 35/063 F16C 19/26
Abstract:
An axial bearing includes a shaft washer and a housing washer. An extension of the shaft interface is incorporated into the shaft washer and an extension of the housing interface is incorporated into the housing washer. As a result, the forces on the bearing are distributed more reliably to the shaft and housing, and the stresses internal to the bearing are more reliably and evenly distributed. This results in improved bearing performance and improved operating life. The bearing washer is more reliably located. The assembly is optimized in that mating components are potentially eliminated, and component dimensions are potentially reduced.
