A system for manipulating page-breaks in an electronic document. A User Interface Process provides a graphical user interface allowing a user to select a page-break within an electronic document and then identify a new location for the page-break. A System Process performs the steps of moving the selected page-break to the new location and adjusting the scaling and the automatic page-breaks for the remainder of the document to accommodate the page-break at the new location.

Abstract:

Generally described, the invention is a graphical method for creating an embedded database, or List Object, within a spreadsheet program, wherein the List Object is made up of a number of individual records, which in turn are made up of a number of data fields. The method is a multi-step process that uses a graphical interface to create the List Object, also known as a List. In the first step of the process, the user must define where the data for the List is coming from and where the List will be stored in the spreadsheet program. Specifically, the user must identify whether any pre-existing data will be used to populate the List or whether the List will be populated from scratch. Next, the user must define the data fields in the list, which includes naming each field and defining the data type for each field. Finally, in the last step of the process, the List is created in the spreadsheet program in such a manner that each field in each record is logically associated to every other field in the record.

A framework identity database for receiving, storing, and sharing a user's personal information. The framework identity database operates in conjunction with a user interface and one or more associated application programs to receive a user's personal information. The user interface sends personal information to the framework identity database. New or previously stored personal information can also be sent to the framework identity database from one or more application programs or input devices associated with a computer or a network. The framework identity database creates and stores a user record including the personal information for later retrieval or modification. The framework identity database shares the personal information with the application programs. The application programs can then utilize the personal information to customize a user's experience when interacting with the application programs, such as features, commands, documents, templates, wizards, lists, preferences, and other output used to interact with a user. The framework identity database is further operative to maintain, to retrieve, and to store one or more user records associated with one or more user identities.

Abstract:

Wish list creation and population is provided where users can associate one or more images as items in a wish list. To this end, an image can be provided, such as a photograph taken by the user, and analyzed to locate matching items and information related thereto. In this regard, the user can observe and desire to purchase an item without knowledge of specifics about the item. The user can then take a picture of the item and tag the picture for upload to their wish list. Matching can be provided to identify one or more items in the picture to facilitate retrieval of information related to the items. Also, items can be selected based on discerned characteristics of the picture in a design/fashion consultant context.

The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method that facilitates re-locating a web application associated with a network service utilizing a portion of serialized data. Systems and methods that recognize items based on aggregated tagging behavior of users regarding the items. An intelligent personalized agent monitors, regulates, and advises a user in decision-making processes for efficiency or safety concerns. The agent monitors an environment and present characteristics of a user and analyzes such information in view of stored preferences specific to one of multiple profiles of the user.
