Abstract:
An apparatus and system are disclosed for automatic centrifugal engagement of a pressure plate. The apparatus includes a clutch basket, a clutch pack capable of coupling the clutch basket with a center clutch, a pressure plate axially moveable toward the clutch pack, and a top plate coupled to a rotating hub. The rotating hub is configured to pass through an opening in the pressure plate. The apparatus also includes at least one centrifugal actuating member disposed between the pressure plate and the top plate, and at least one spring disposed between the rotating hub and the center clutch to bias the pressure plate relative to the top plate. The system includes the apparatus and a rotating hub lifter coupled with the rotating hub and configured to position the rotating hub in one of a manual clutch mode position and an automatic clutch mode position.

Abstract:
A tube coupling comprising a metal tube of relatively uniform thickness and having a radially outwardly expanded integral sleeve at one end thereof, and a radially extending tube shoulder being defined at the juncture at which the sleeve is expanded outwardly, the tube having a throughbore of a first inner diameter, and the expanded sleeve having a throughbore of a second inner diameter greater than the first inner diameter and concentric therewith. A cylindrical, hollow insert is located concentric with the axis of the tube, the insert including a radially extending annular collar at one end thereof. The collar has a tube end face abutting the radial tube shoulder and inertially welded to the tube at the interface of the tube end face and the radial tube shoulder. The insert includes at its other end a cylindrical barrel portion having hose locking and sealing means. A flexible hose is supported on the insert barrel portion and secured and sealed relative to the sleeve and the insert by the sleeve being crimped over the insert barrel portion to thereby extrude the hose into the sealing and locking grooves permanently holding the hose in compression.
Closed Electrical Apparatus Cabinet Embodying A Vaporization Chamber And Cabinet Top Thereof
A cabinet for electrical equipment to be protected from an hostile environment comprising a sealed top section consisting of a vaporization chamber containing trichlorotrifuoroethane, or other suitable working fluid, with the upper surface having a generally recessed polyhedral shape to promote return of condensate at the roof of the vaporization chamber to replenish the liquid in the chamber.

Abstract:
A hose coupling comprising a metal tube and a cylindrical insert concentrically arranged and held fast within the tube. The tube includes a radially outwardly flared sleeve integral with the tube and providing a tube end and a stop shoulder at the juncture at which said sleeve is flared outwardly. The insert includes (i) a barrel portion extending substantially the full length of the insert and (ii) a radially outwardly flared integral collar at one end of the barrel portion. The collar has an end face abutting the tube stop shoulder, an opposed hose end face, and a tapered circumferential land engaging the sleeve and extending axially at an outwardly diverging uniform taper from the tube end face to the hose end face. The sleeve is preformed to include a circumferential seat portion for seating the collar with the seat portion diverging outwardly at a uniform taper equal to that of the collar and beginning at the tube stop shoulder and continuing to a point at least equal to the length of said collar. A flexible hose is held within the sleeve and supported on the insert barrel portion and abutting the hose end face of the collar.

Disclosed herein is a bioreactor system that allows active perfusive flow through a porous support medium enabling 3D growth of biological samples. In some embodiments, the system comprises a sample well filled with a three-dimensional (3D) cell growth medium. The system can further comprise a liquid medium reservoir fluidly connected to the sample well by a first filter material. The system can further comprises a medium collection chamber fluidly connected to the sample well by a second filter material. In some embodiments, application of negative gage pressure to the medium collection chamber or positive pressure to the liquid medium reservoir draws fluid from the liquid medium reservoir, through the first filter material, into the sample well where it permeates the three-dimensional cell growth medium, through the second filter material, and finally into the medium collection chamber.
