A system on a chip including a bus, a bootup module coupled to the bus and configured to cause the system on a chip to bootup in accordance with a selected security mode, an input module coupled to the bus and configured to receive an input signal and to provide the input signal to the bus, a processor coupled to the bus and configured to process the input signal to provide an intermediate signal, in accordance with a type of content protection associated with the input signal, an encryption module coupled to the bus and configured to cause at least a portion of the intermediate signal to be encrypted to produce an encrypted signal, in accordance with the type of the content protection, and an output module coupled to the bus and configured to output the encrypted signal.

Abstract:

A frame rate converter device and method for interpolation during frame rate conversion are disclosed. The method includes, receiving input frames containing film content and video content. The film content exhibits a 3:2 pull-down cadence while video content that does not exhibit such cadence. Consecutive frames Cand Care interpolated to form Fusing the frame rate converter. The frame rate converter further selects as an output frame, either current or previous ones of interpolated frames or input frames. The selection is made so as to reduce both film judder and video judder. The invention is suitable for use on video input frames at 60 frames per second (fps) derived from a 24 fps cinema using 3:2 pull-down, and also blended with 60 Hz overlay video such as subtitle text. The invention can be used to obtain a good overall reduction in both overlay video judder and film judder.

Abstract:

A 3-dimensional (3D) video rendering device may convert a first left view video of a decompressed 3D video having a first frame rate to generate a second left view video having a second frame rate, and convert a first right view video having the first frame rate to generate a second right view video having the second frame rate. The second left view video having a particular pixel resolution may be converted by the 3D video rendering device to generate a third left view video having full pixel resolution of the decompressed 3D video. The second right view video having the particular pixel resolution may be converted to generate a third right view video having the full pixel resolution. The 3D video rendering device may generate a sequence of video frames for 3D video display based on the third left view video and the third right view video.

Abstract:

A device includes ocular image processing features. The device obtains ocular image data without requiring artificial lenses to capture the ocular image data. The device may, for example, obtain sensor data from a touch sensor associated with a display, recognize ocular image data within the sensor data, and process the ocular image data for any reason. This processing may occur regardless of the fact that the intended purpose of the sensor data was not for ocular imaging, but was intended for another purpose, such as detecting touch interactions with the display.
