Abstract:

A mobile communication device has a radio contact ( ) that has a moveable portion ( ) that is located in correspondence with a contact pad ( ) of a circuit board of the ( ) of the mobile communication device. The moveable portion is biased away form the contact pad. The radio contact is held in place by a boot ( ) that is attached to the housing of the mobile communication device. An external connector has a connector contact ( ) that has a moveable portion ( ) for mating with the moveable portion of the radio contact. As the external connector is attached to the mobile communication device, the connector contact pushes the radio contact until it touches the contact pad, and then the moveable portion of the connector contact move to absorb any further travel of the external connector.

In one embodiment, power to the GPS circuitry may be enabled only when the user strikes the keys “9-1-l. ” In other embodiments, other types of GPS enablement or disablement may be employed, such as selectively decoupling the GPS antenna. In another embodiment, the user may depress a privacy bypass button, which alternately enables and disables power to the GPS circuitry. Cellular telephones or other communication devices may therefore activate GPS location service during an emergency call, or when a user wishes to allow their location to be determined, but protect the privacy of that user's location and movement at other times.

A keyboard () includes fist () and second () hinges that allow the keyboard () to be properly placed and fitted against an electronic device such as a cellular telephone (). The first hinge () allows the keyboard to be swung up and away from the cellular telephone's housing and also allows the keyboard () to be properly fit against the cellular telephone's housing when in use. Abstract:

An ornamented article of clothing constituting a fabric substrate which forms at least a part of an article of clothing has applied to it in a pattern, with the aid of a stencil, an area of predetermined configuration such as a design, a character or a phrase in the form of an adhesive coating composed of a film-forming solid and a liquid solvent. The adhesive coating bonds to the substrate as by permeation into interstices thereof so that when the coating dries it will firmly adhere thereto. While the coating still is wet there are applied to the coating particles composed of a plastic material which is attackable by one or more constitutents of the still-wet adhesive, specifically the solvent or a plasticizer incorporated in the plastic solid. This attack on the surfaces of the particles causes the particles to bond to the adhesive coating. When the coating is dry as by evaporation of the solvent, there remains on the article a flexible film composed of residual constituents of the adhesive and superimposed thereon the particles which have become bonded to the adhesive coating.
