Abstract:

Incoming requests to a data storage system are distributed among one or more peer node computer systems of the data storage system in accordance with a load spreading configuration. A hash value is computed from the request utilizing selected header information of the request. The hash value is utilized in selecting a peer node computer system to receive the request in accordance with the load spreading configuration, and the request is redirected to the selected peer node computer system. In one embodiment, the load spreading configuration is implemented at a layer 2 switch and the load spreading configuration is reconfigurable by a peer node computer system of the data storage system.

Abstract:

A method and system for event notification is disclosed. In one implementation, the system includes at least one node, an event buffer, and a remote computing system. The node is configured to detect situations of interest on that node, and to generate events in response thereto. The node sends the events to the event buffer to be stored therein. The remote computing system is used to monitor the status of the node. The remote computing system obtains from a server a set of status information for the node, and displays the status information. The remote computing system then polls the event buffer for new events, and in response to detecting one or more new events, the remote computing system obtains from the server a set of updated status information for the node. The updated status information is then displayed to show the updated status of the node.

Abstract:

A battery charger and emergency power supply assembly includes a housing. A switch is positioned in the housing and electrically coupled to a power supply. At least one electrical plug outlet is mounted in the housing and electrically coupled to the switch. A battery charger is mounted within the housing and is electrically coupled to the power supply. Each of a plurality of charging ports extends into the housing and is electrically coupled to the battery charger. Each of a plurality of rechargeable batteries includes plug members adapted for electrically coupled to the charging ports. An inverter is electrically coupled to each of the charging ports. The inverter is also electrically coupled to the switch. The switch may selectively open a circuit between the plug outlet and the power supply or the plug outlet and the inverter.

Abstract:

A vehicle navigation system may include a data pipeline that proposes routing graph modifications from automatically ingested data sources and that provides enough context to suggest an expiration time to remove the routing graph modifications once imposed. The system and method receives from at least one data source routing graph modification data including geographic location data identifying a location to which a routing graph modification applies. The routing graph modification data is associated with one or more roadway elements in a routing graph of a navigation constraints system, and the routing graph modification data associated with the one or more roadway elements is classified as a routing graph modification. The routing graph modification is added to or, if expired, removed from the navigation constraints system.
