Abstract:
An externally mounted fixation device for craniomaxillofacial distraction osteogenesis, the device having a helmet to secure the device in a relatively rigid and immobile manner to the head of a patient, support structure to receive distraction components in fixed or adjustable spatial location relative to the patient's head, and distraction components to apply traction to the bones of the patient to be distracted.
A computer-implemented method for processing seismic data includes the determining, from the seismic data, a first amplitude attribute map at a first image depth corresponding to a shallow attenuating body, and a second amplitude attribute map at a second image or target depth. The first and second amplitude attribute maps are then normalized, and a ratio map is determined based on a ratio of the normalized first and second amplitude attribute maps. The ratio map is scaled to yield a scale factor map, which is then applied to the seismic data to compensate for effects of shallow overburden attenuation.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a development tool and, more particularly, to a development tool comprising a dual panel mapping modal. The method includes displaying, by a computer system, a first display including data blocks of a data contract document and a second display including fields of an object model, in a single graphical user interface. The method further includes mapping, by the computer system, the data blocks in the first display to the fields of the object model in the second display by selection of the data blocks in the first display and selection of the fields in the second display.
Methods And Systems For Calibrating Depth In A Well To Seismic Data In A Subsurface Volume Of Interest

International Classification:

Abstract:
Methods and systems for calibrating depth in a well to seismic data in a subsurface volume of interest are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: obtain well data corresponding to the well in the subsurface volume of interest; convert the well data to converted well data; obtain a seismic trace and a corresponding wavelet; generate a transform model; apply the transform model to the converted well data to transform the converted well data into transformed well data; apply the corresponding wavelet to the transformed well data to generate a modified signal; generate a correspondence between the modified signal and the seismic trace; repeat one or more steps to select a given modified signal; and calibrate the well data to the seismic trace.
System For Generating And Maintaining A Solid Structure
A method and system for generating and maintaining a solid structure is provided. The system includes a frame composed of an interconnected network of pipes configured for transporting liquid, the frame having a substantially spherical shape, a plurality of nozzles uniformly distributed along the pipes, wherein the plurality of nozzles are configured for dispensing liquid, a repository that holds a liquid composed of water and at least one additive, a refrigeration unit configured for refrigerating the liquid from the repository to at least a freezing temperature, and a pump for pumping the liquid from the refrigeration unit through the pipes and out of the nozzles, wherein the system is configured to dispense the liquid at said freezing temperature so as to freeze upon egress and create a solid structure surrounding the pipes. The system may also return melted liquid from the solid structure to the repository.
Creating A High Resolution Velocity Model Using Seismic Tomography And Impedance Inversion

Abstract:
A method is described for of creating a high-resolution velocity model of a geological medium that includes generating a long-wavelength anisotropic velocity model using tomographic inversion of seismic data gathers and combining the long-wavelength velocity model with an attenuation model. The method further includes performing prestack depth migration on the seismic data gathers using the long-wavelength velocity and attenuation model to produce seismic image gathers, applying a dip-consistent filter to the seismic image gathers, and transforming the filtered seismic image gathers to the time domain. The method further includes generating a full-band impedance model by performing impedance inversion of the time-domain filtered seismic image gathers using the long-wavelength velocity and attenuation model. The full-band impedance or velocity model is calibrated in the frequency domain in a manner independent of the spatial coordinates. The full-band impedance or velocity model is used for detecting fluid pressure anomalies in the geological medium.
