Abstract:
A low voltage solenoid operated pressure control valve having a valve body with an adjustable inlet orifice plug in one end with a valve seat formed around the orifice. The orifice communicates with a precision valving bore with a one-piece valve rod having a valving surface on the end for throttling flow over the valve seat. An annular magnetic armature is press fitted on the end of the valve rod extending externally off the valving bore. A nonmagnetic cover is disposed and sealed over the armature to enclose the valving bore. An encapsulated coil is disposed over the cover. A cylindrical pole casing is disposed over the coil and a flanged tubular pole member disposed over the cover and registered on the casing to provide a flux loop about the coil. A retaining ring frictionally engages the cover to retain the assembly. The valving bore is cross ported through the body to provide the flow outlet and the interior of the armature cover is ported to the outlet.

Abstract:
A balanced pressure spool valve has a collector groove formed on the periphery of the valving spool adjacent the valving land, with an annular armature attached to the spool. The collector groove has a radially extending bleed hole which communicates with the axially extending pressure equalization bore in the spool. A solenoid coil upon increased current flow electromagnetically acts on the armature to progressively move the spool and the valving land closes outlet ports formed in the valving bore in which the spool is received. The collector groove intersects the outlet ports to provide bleed flow as the ports are closed by the valving land, thus attenuating the effect of any pressure force imbalance created by the increased flow velocity as the outlet ports are closed.
It didn't take long for the Aggies to answer, however, as a 14-play drive that covered 175 yards finished when Ryan Tannehill found Michael Lamothe on a two-yard passing play. Tannehill is 8-of-12 for 68 yards and a touchdown at this early juncture of the game.

Missouri shocks No. 16 Texas A&M 38-31 in overtime
Texas A&M tied it on Tannehills 2-yard TD pass to Michael Lamothe, but Missouri went up 14-7 with 2 seconds left in the quarter on a 42-yard catch-and-run from Franklin to tight end Eric Waters. It was Waters second career reception.
Tannehill then threw 20 yards to Uzoma Nwachukwu. A&M capped the drive with a 19-yard pass to tight end Michael Lamothe who played a key role in getting the running game rolling along with tight ends Nehemiah Hicks and Hutson Prioleau. They combined for four catches for 49 yards, but it wa
faced a 3rd-and-10 near midfield with under two minutes left in the half, but Tannehill reeled off three consecutive completions. He extended the drive with a 13-yard pass to Ryan Swope, hit Uzoma Nwachukwu for 20 yards, then found Michael Lamothe for an 18-yard touchdown and a 20-7 lead at the break.

Ryan Tannehill throws for 2 TDs and No. 17 Texas A&M holds off Iowa State 33-17
Christine Michael and Cyrus Gray each rushed for more than 100 yards for the Aggies (5-2, 3-1 Big 12), who used Tannehills scoring passes to Jeff Fuller and Michael Lamothe to jump ahead 20-7 at halftime after a sluggish start.
