A method of coupling a mechanical power source through an electrical power generator to an electrical load is disclosed. A characteristic of an electrical output is measured from the electrical power generator produced during a power generation cycle during which there is a coupling of the mechanical power source through the electrical power generator to the electrical load. The coupling of the mechanical power source is adjusted through the electrical power generator to the electrical load during a subsequent power generation cycle based at least in part on the measured characteristic of the electrical output.

Abstract:
An electric power generation system is disclosed. The electric power generation system comprises a string configured to be pulled. The electric power generation system further comprises a bobbin configured to rotate when the string is unwound from the bobbin. The electric power generation system further comprises an electric power generator having a rotor. The rotor is configured to rotate such that the ratio of number of rotations of the rotor and the bobbin is 1:1 when the string is being pulled.

Abstract:
A method of forming an amorphous carbon layer on a substrate in a substrate processing chamber, includes introducing a hydrocarbon source into the processing chamber, introducing argon, alone or in combination with helium, hydrogen, nitrogen, and combinations thereof, into the processing chamber, wherein the argon has a volumetric flow rate to hydrocarbon source volumetric flow rate ratio of about 10:1 to about 20:1, generating a plasma in the processing chamber at a substantially lower pressure of about 2 Torr to 10 Torr, and forming a conformal amorphous carbon layer on the substrate.

Abstract:
In an embodiment, a method merges a plurality of three-dimensional models, each having been generated from images of a camera having a different viewpoint. For respective voxels in a plurality of voxels, a plurality of distance values are determined. Each determined distance value is a distance from the voxel to a three dimensional model from the plurality of three-dimensional models along a perspective of a camera model used to generate the three-dimensional model. When at least one of the determined distance values indicates that the distance between the voxel and the three dimensional model exceeds a threshold and the voxel is located above the corresponding three-dimensional model, a confidence score is determined indicating a degree to which the perspective of the camera model of the corresponding three-dimensional model is oriented to face the voxel. Based on the determined confidence score, the voxel into a merged three-dimensional model is determined.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for identifying different types of energy sources used to charge a battery by receiving energy from at least one of the different types of energy sources at input terminals, identifying the type of energy source, and selecting a mode for charging the battery based on the type of energy source identified. A method and apparatus for protecting against certain energy sources used to charge a battery is also disclosed.

Abstract:
An electric power generation system is disclosed. The electric power generation system includes: a string; a bobbin configured to rotate when the string is unwound from the bobbin as the string is pulled; and an electric power generator having a rotor wherein the rotor is mechanically coupled to the bobbin. The string is anchored at one end to a case and passes around a rotating wheel. The rotating wheel is configured to be pulled.
