About:

Michael Locke began his real estate career in 2002, after a long and successful career in corporate sales for the Ingersoll Rand Company. During his tenure at Ingersoll Rand, he was regional Salesman-of-the-Year seven times, and won numerous national sales awards, highlighted by receiving the Joe Weindl Award for Lifetime Achievement. Prior to that, he was a successful high school football coach in Maryland and Washington, D.C. For more than 25 years, Michael Locke has been investing in a wide range of real estate holdings with Andrew Jelmert. In 2002, Jelmert invited Michael to join his real estate team at Coldwell Banker in Los Feliz, along with Michael’s wife Donna Jean Titus (formerly of Titus Real Estate). In 2003, both Michael Locke and Andy Jelmert distinguished themselves as Architectural Specialists by Coldwell Banker’s ARCHITECTURAL DIVISION as recognition of their knowledge and record of accomplishment listing and selling architecturally- significant properties. In July 2010, Andrew retired from real estate and Michael joined the office of Keller Williams Los Feliz Realty. "With Andy's retirement, I decided it was time to make a change. Meeting (Keller Williams Los Feliz Manager and Team Leader) ANTHONY VULIN convinced me that KW had the most to offfer". The office has significantly ramped up sales over the last 3 1/2 years, catapulting the company to the TOP SPOT among east side LA real estate offices. No office from Hollywood to Downtown has sold more homes and closed more deals. The office embraces a team-minded culture, which Anthony carefully cultivates. Michael Locke is deeply involved in the community. He is Publisher and Editor of "The Silver Lake News ", the "Most Visited Community Website" covering Silver Lake. He is also an accomplished photojournalist, having many of his photographs published in the Los Angeles Times and other publications. He has also served as a volunteer for the "Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy" “Silver Lake Modernism- Then & Now” Home Tour, and produced the 2008 French Institute of Architects (Champagne Region) Tour of Los Angeles Modernism along with distinguished architect, Gustavo Gubel. He lives with his wife Donna Jean in the historic Beaton House "La Casa Contenta" in Los Feliz with their dogs Buddy and Abbey, and their pet parrot, Zach.
