Abstract:

A proportional variable bleed solenoid valve that includes magnetic force adjustments to provide magnetic calibration. The control valve includes a housing defining a chamber, where an electromagnetic coil is wound on a bobbin and is coaxially mounted within the housing. A movable armature is coaxially positioned within the bobbin in the chamber and has an armature poppet valve extending form a bottom end of the armature. An armature spring is in contact with an upper end of the armature and a top wall of the bobbin, where the spring positions the armature in an initial position when the coil is not energized and where the armature moves to a second position in conjunction with the bias of the armature spring when the coil is energized. A pole piece is mounted to the housing and is positioned adjacent to the lower end of the armature to define an air gap between the pole piece and the armature. The pole piece includes an extended annular ring positioned below the lower end of the armature such that the armature poppet valve extends through the ring.

Abstract:

This invention relates to a portable hand-held apparatus which orients, retains and consolidates a variable plurality of electronic remote control devices. In the present invention the remotes are attached peripherally in such a manner that the control buttons of the individual remotes are easily accessible and the opposite ends of the attached remotes form a footing for the consolidating apparatus. Additionally, as the consumer increases the number of audio/visual components within the household, each with its own remote control device, the present invention will variably adapt to accommodate such growth in the number of remote control devices.

This disclosure features artificial tympanic membrane graft devices and two-component bilayer graft devices that include a scaffold having a plurality of ribs made of a first material and a plurality of spaces between the ribs filled or made with the first material, a different, second material, a combination of the first and a second materials, or a combination of a second material and one or more other different materials. The bilayer graft devices have two components or layers. One component, e.g., the underlay graft device, can include a projection, and the second component, e.g., the overlay graft device, can include an opening that corresponds to the projection (or vice versa) so that the opening and the projection can secure the two layers together in a “lock and key” manner. This disclosure also features methods of making, using, and implanting the three-dimensional artificial tympanic membrane and bilayer graft devices.
