Abstract:

In certain embodiments, a system includes a first milking box stall of a size sufficient to accommodate a dairy livestock. The system also includes an equipment portion located adjacent to the first milking box stall. The equipment portion houses a robotic attacher. The system also includes a second milking box stall of a size sufficient to accommodate a dairy livestock. The second milking box stall is located adjacent to the equipment portion. The robotic attacher is configured to service both the first milking box stall and the second milking box stall by extending between the rear legs of a dairy livestock located within either stall in order to attach milking equipment to the dairy livestock.

Abstract:

A system includes an equipment portion and a plurality of milking box stalls arranged adjacent to the equipment portion. Each of the milking box stalls is of a size sufficient to accommodate a dairy livestock. The system further includes a robotic attacher housed in the equipment portion and configured to service each of the plurality of milking box stalls at different times. The robotic attacher has a gripping portion with a spray nozzle. The gripping portion is operable to rotate around a longitudinal axis such that during a milking operation the spray nozzle is positioned on the bottom of the gripping portion, and after the milking operation the spray nozzle is positioned on the top of the gripping portion.

Abstract:

A composition comprising a phase separated block copolymer and an inorganic dielectric nanoparticle, wherein the nanoparticle is dispersed in the copolymer and is present primarily in one phase. For example, a Ti0nanocomposite can be created via the in situ formation of Ti0within a silane-grafted OBC. Taking advantage of the phase morphology of the OBC and the differential swelling of the hard and soft segments, due to their inherent crystallinity, enables the selective incorporation of Ti0nanoparticles into the soft segments of the OBC.
