The present invention relates to a modular system for creating customizable headwear. One embodiment of the present invention includes a crown with a base portion. The outer surface of the crown includes at least one releasable attachment system to allow various accessories to be releasably attached thereby creating unique headwear configurations. In addition, the base portion of the crown includes a releasable attachment system that also allows various other accessories to be attached to create unique headwear configurations. A visor may be fixably or releasably coupled to the base portion to create a baseball cap headwear configuration. Likewise, a releasable backstrap may be coupled to the base portion of the crown to adjust the size of the crown and display a logo or symbol.
The present invention relates to a headwear visor storage system. One embodiment incorporates a storage pouch onto the visor of a convention baseball cap. The storage pouch can be accessed when the hat is on or off of a user. The storage pouch is releasably coupled to the visor via a releasable coupling system. Alternative embodiments relate to utilizing a visor storage pouch as part of a modular headwear system in which various items can be releasably coupled to an article of headwear.
The present invention relates to modular electrical headwear systems for use in charging electrical devices and operating electrical devices on an article of headwear. One embodiment includes utilizing a photovoltaic cell on the visor of a hat to generate solar electricity. A battery is disposed on the backstrap of the hat for storing solar electricity and providing existing electricity to a variety of electrical devices. Various chargers, lights, fans, motorized objects, etc may be located on an article of headwear and utilize some form of electrical current for operation. An electrical charger may used to charge a user's cell phone while they wear the article of headwear. Various electrical components may be releasably secured to an article of headwear to allow a user to interchange, upgrade, add, and remove components from a personalized electrical headwear system.
A head wear system including a sizing band and a hat. The sizing band is distinct from the hat. The hat comprises a bill and a cap having an opening at the back as well as a headband. The head wear system also includes a first and second adjustment means for selectively nondestructively attaching each end of the sizing band to the hat in a longitudinal relationship therebetween selected by the wearer. When the sizing band is attached to the hat by the first and second adjusting means, the sizing band extends across the opening of the cap. The head wear system also comprises an ornament, a cover means for accessorizing the hat, and an attachment means for selectively nondestructively connecting the cover means and ornament to the crown of the cap. One embodiment of the sizing band functions as a skin stencil and comprises a substrate transparent to ultraviolet radiation and a design opaque to ultraviolet radiation that is attached to the substrate. When the substrate contacts the skin of a wearer the ultraviolet radiation causes the skin under the substrate to tan.

A module headwear system worn by a user that comprises a headband having an interior surface and an exterior surface, a first accessory, and first and second attachment members configured to selectively, detachably couple the first accessory to one of the interior surface of the headband and the exterior surface of the headband. The first accessory may comprise a visor, a crown, ear protection, neck protection, or eyeglasses. The module headwear system may also include a passageway configured to provide ventilation to the users' head.
