"She fought for her life," mother of slain Eastpointe woman says

• The bodies were found locked in the bathroom of the house on Normandy, in the area of Nine Mile and Kelly roads, after Moniques father, Michael Rakowski of Sterling Heights, went to the house to check on them. He hadnt heard from his daughter in a few days, so he drove to the Eastpointe residence.Investigators said the babys body had been placed on top of the mothers partially disrobed body.
