Lawyer files suit challenging NSA phone record collection
The Philadelphia couple named as lead plaintiffs in the class action, Charles and Mary Ann Strange, are the parents of Michael Strange, a member of Navy SEAL Team 6 who was killed when the helicopter in which he was riding was shot down by terrorists in Afghanistan on Aug. 6, 2011.

Michael Strange, as he left for Afghanistan, reassured his worried mother that he was perfectly safe.
Military officials came to the family home in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia on Saturday to tell them of the death of Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Strange, 25, family members said Sunday. Authorities had not yet officially announced death by Sunday afternoon.
