Abstract:

An eyewear system includes a partially entrapped eyewear frame, a lens, and a latching mechanism. The lens is configured to be received into a lens groove of the partially entrapped eyewear frame. The lens includes a first edge with a latch catch and a second edge with a tab configured to be received by a recess of the partially entrapped eyewear frame. The latch mechanism is configured to allow removal of the lens from the partially entrapped eyewear frame and engage the latch catch of the lens to retain the lens in the partially entrapped eyewear frame.

A method of calculating accounting encumbrance adjustments for a purchase order associated with a first allocation of a budget includes determining that the purchase order has been closed, where the closure prevents additional processing associated with the purchase order by an invoice processing system; receiving a request to reopen the purchase order, where the request is associated with an additional cost; causing a determination to be made as to whether a second portion of the budget should be allocated, where the second portion of the budget corresponds to the additional cost; and in response to a determination that the second portion of the budget can be allocated: causing the second portion of the budget to be allocated, reopening the purchase order, and sending an indication to the invoice processing system that the purchase order is reopened.

Abstract:

An accessory may be provided with a button controller having a microphone and switches. Plastic structures for the accessory may be formed by injection molding. Plastic structures may be molded around a printed circuit and wiring. The wiring may have a plastic jacket. The molded plastic structures may bond with the plastic jacket to retain the wiring. The molded plastic structures may be molded directly to the printed circuit board. Protrusions on the molded plastic structures may mate with openings in a metal clip. Housing structures may be mounted to the metal clip. The metal clip may be provided with a spring to short the metal clip to a trace on the printed circuit. The metal clip may also have a portion that receives electrostatic charge during electrostatic discharge events and that discharges the charge through the spring to the trace on the printed circuit.

Abstract:

An improved method is employed to attach an enclosure to a connector body having relatively small geometry. One or more bonding channels are disposed in the outside surface of the connector body. During assembly of an enclosure over the connector body, a bonding material is distributed within the bonding channels and subsequently cured. Docking stations having a connector with a compliant mount to provide improved durability and flexibility are provided herein. The compliant mount may couple a connector to a base of a docking station and may include at least a first and second flexure disposed therebetween. The first and second flexure may be configured to have flexural movement in along transverse direction so that, in combination, the flexural movement pivots the connector about a virtual pivot point a distance away from the flexures. The first and second flexures may be configured to project the virtual pivot point to a location on the connector where the connector protrudes from an opening in a docking housing, thereby minimizing the clearance required between the connector and docking housing, while providing controlled movement of the connector relative the dock.

Abstract:

A removable module and a housing for an attachment system of a consumer product is described. The removable module includes a locking mechanism comprising a first portion having a substantially planar top surface and second portion that comprises a substantially non-planar bottom surface. The first portion and the second portion are coupled together. The locking mechanism also includes a first spring mechanism coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The first spring mechanism causes the first portion to be biased away from the second portion. The locking mechanism also includes a second spring mechanism. The second spring mechanism causes the substantially planar top surface of the first portion to be biased substantially flush with respect to the removable module and also causes the substantially non-planar bottom surface of the second portion to be biased proud with respect to the removable module.
