Disclosed herein are systems that include: (a) an objective lens system configured to collect light from a sample; (b) a first aperture positioned to allow a portion of the collected light received from the objective lens system to pass as input light; (c) a first lens positioned to transmit the input light received from the first aperture; (d) a dispersive element configured to spatially disperse the input light received from the first lens in a first plane; (e) a second lens positioned to transmit the spatially dispersed light; (f) a second aperture positioned to allow a portion of the spatially dispersed light received from the second lens to pass as detection light; and (g) a detector positioned to receive the detection light and configured to form at least one image of the sample.

A compliant mount for use in a connector or connection adapter is disclosed. The compliant mount may be used in a connection between a portable electronic device and another electronic device, such as a docking station. A compliant mount connector adapter may include a first connector end engageable with a portable device and a second connector end engageable with another device, the first and second connector ends coupled with a compliant mount allowing movement of the first end connector engaged with the portable device relative to the second end connector when engaged within the other electronic device. The compliant mount may include any or all of: elastomers, springs, torsion bars, elastomers, rigid members or housing, ball and socket joints, resilient bendable members, and dongles to allow for controlled resistance to bending or torsional forces applied to the portable device when connected to the other electronic device with the connector adapter.

Abstract:

A method of calculating accounting encumbrance adjustments for a purchase order associated with a first allocation of a budget includes determining that the purchase order has been closed, where the closure prevents additional processing associated with the purchase order by an invoice processing system; receiving a request to reopen the purchase order, where the request is associated with an additional cost; causing a determination to be made as to whether a second portion of the budget should be allocated, where the second portion of the budget corresponds to the additional cost; and in response to a determination that the second portion of the budget can be allocated: causing the second portion of the budget to be allocated, reopening the purchase order, and sending an indication to the invoice processing system that the purchase order is reopened.

Abstract:

An accessory may be provided with a button controller having a microphone and switches. Plastic structures for the accessory may be formed by injection molding. Plastic structures may be molded around a printed circuit and wiring. The wiring may have a plastic jacket. The molded plastic structures may bond with the plastic jacket to retain the wiring. The molded plastic structures may be molded directly to the printed circuit board. Protrusions on the molded plastic structures may mate with openings in a metal clip. Housing structures may be mounted to the metal clip. The metal clip may be provided with a spring to short the metal clip to a trace on the printed circuit. The metal clip may also have a portion that receives electrostatic charge during electrostatic discharge events and that discharges the charge through the spring to the trace on the printed circuit.
