Abstract:

A gap soliton can be controlled by introducing a perturbation into a waveguide structure that includes an otherwise essentially periodic variation of its refractive index. In one embodiment of our invention, by controlling the amplitude, phase and/or average value of the refractive index of a first perturbation, and by maintaining the speed of the soliton below a certain critical speed, we have found that the soliton will transfer its energy to the modes of the perturbation. When the soliton transfers essentially all of its energy in this way, we refer to the soliton as being trapped or captured by the perturbation. Trapped gap solitons enable a variety of unique system applications in, for example, memories, buffers, switches and WDM demultiplexers.

Abstract:

A broad band, balanced microwave component, such as an amplifier, includes an input Lange coupler having a first center frequency and an output Lange coupler having a second center frequency. The center frequencies of the two Lange couplers are offset or the coupling is different so that at least one of the cross-over points of the input Lange coupler is offset in frequency from both the cross-over points of the output Lange coupler. The pair of Lange couplers so offset in frequency yields no more than one peak in gain which is readily equalized by single-ended amplifiers within the balanced amplifier.

Abstract:

A probe-fed slot antenna is provided having an inner conductor, a cylindrical outer conductor coaxial with the inner conductor, and a plurality of slots in the outer conductor. A plurality of probes extend from the cylindrical outer conductor into the interior, each probe adjacent to one of the slots. A coupling ring is mounted coaxially between the outer and inner conductors to allow efficient transfer of RF energy to and from the slots.

The embodiments relate to improved skin quality, health and appearance using a new delivery method and certain bioactive compositions and formulations. The system incorporates microneedle delivery technology with unique compositions and formulations. Such development allows for the pursuit of personalized medicine, or treatment delivery that can expand to remote controlled environment, immediate compounding and ultimate personalization with a state of the art longitudinal data predictive analytics. Certain formulations described herein are unique, combinatory and synergistic. Secured by high-tech proprietary system, there are unlimited potentials using AQT technology including but not limited to 3-D printing of a biodegradable micro chips that can be delivered via injection, AQT or any other possible route.
